CONSTITUTION:The NO3 which is generated by a corona discharge at the time of electrostatic charging, transferring and stripping and is stuck onto a photosensitive body 10 reacts with the Bi2O3 in the residual toner on the drum 10 to form Bi(NO3)3, 5H2O which are both in the state of the hardly soluble salts and are removed together with the residual toner by means of the cleaning blade 17a. The drum 10 is thereafter destaticized by a destaticizing lamp 18 so that the next image is formable thereon. Generation of image flow is thereby obviated and the deterioration of the image quality is prevented even after long-term use.
