    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to provide a uniform image over a whole display area by arranging a former scanning line, a pixel electrode incapable of forming auxiliary capacity and conductive wiring forming the auxiliary capacity and applying a signal having a compensation pulse. SOLUTION: A drive waveform Vg0 of a scanning signal applied to a dummy scanning line is only the compensation pulse 14 (c). Further, the drive waveform of the scanning signal applied to the scanning line of the first row or after is provided with a scanning pulse 21 turning the TFT on and the compensation pulse 14 (d, e). Then, the potential waveform of the pixel electrode of the first row m-th column forming the auxiliary capacity with the dummy scanning line through an insulation film becomes the potential waveform Vp1 shown by a solid line (a). On the other hand, the potential waveform of the pixel electrode connected to the scanning line of the second row or after, e.g. the potential waveform of the pixel electrode of (m+1)-th row becomes the potential waveform Vp2 shown by the solid line (b). In such a manner, by applying the signal having the compensation pulse to not only the scanning line but also the dummy scanning line, flickers in a picture are prevented.
