    • PURPOSE:To enable an arbitrary water taking from every water system and shortening of a periodical inspection period by providing a stop log gate at a connecting position of a circulation water intake way and a water intake way of an auxiliary equipment cooling sea water system. CONSTITUTION:Three lines of water intake ways 8a, 8b and 8c are branched away into another three lines, two lines of an auxiliary equipment cooling water intake way 9a and 9b, and 9c and 9d, and a line of a circulating water pump 1a, 1b and 1c. At an upstream side of each line, that is, a connecting point side, an appropriate number of logs 10d to 10p are provided, respectively. A sea water taken from a shore line 6 is led by water intake ways 8 through a screen room 7. During a periodical inspection, by combination of the stop log gates, cooling water for each one line of the auxiliary equipment cooling water intake way 9, can be freely taken from two lines of the water intake ways 8. Consequently, limiting conditions concerning an existence of water in the water intake ways 8a, 8b and 8c diminishes and therefore the periodical inspection period can be shortened.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of hatches for carrying in/out machinery and surrounding spaces of hatches by arranging vertical between a nuclear reactor building and a turbine building mutually neighboring, and carrying in/out machinery to respective buildings. CONSTITUTION:In a nuclear power plant 20, a nuclear reactor building 21, a turbine building 22, and a control building 23 are respectively erected. In this case, a communicating passage 24 between buildings for traffic of men and connection of pipings, cables, and air conditioning ducts, and a vertical shaft 25 for carrying in/out machinery, are arranged between the nuclear reactor building 21 and the turbine building 22. Further, openings 32 for communication are formed on the outer wall basements connected with the vertical shafts 25 of respective buildings 21-23. Further, connecting floors 33 to the basements of respective buildings 21-23 through the openings 32 are additionally provided, and floor openings 34 communicating to the floors 33 of another stage at the vertical shafts 25 are formed on the floors 33.

    • PURPOSE:To improve workability for overhauling turbines by providing an auxiliary laydown floor for the periodical inspection of the turbines and a generator under the operation floor of a turbine building, and making the operation floor continuous to the lower auxiliary laydown floor via an opening. CONSTITUTION:A turbine building 1 to be built on a concrete foundation 6 is so constituted that a condenser is installed on the foundation 6 and high and low pressure turbines 2a and 2b, and a generator 12 are arranged over the condenser. And an operation floor 7 is formed at both sides of the turbines 2a and 2b and the generator 12, and a moisture separator 3 is provided in a pair on the floor 7. In this case, an auxiliary laydown space 15 is provided on a floor below the operation floor 7 and a plurality of machinery spaces 22 are defined on the floor where the laydown space 15 is provided, and lower floors. And an opening 18 is formed on the operation floor 7 for transporting machines and equipment in and out of the auxiliary laydown space 15, and a concrete plug 19 is placed on the opening 18 to eliminate danger of falling.
