    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotating electric machine which enhances efficiency by reducing torque ripple, iron loss and higher harmonics and suppress generation of resistance due to rotation of the rotor, and to provide a rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: The rotor of a rotating electric machine comprises a rotor core 11, a plurality of magnet insertion holes 13 provided in the outer circumferential part of the rotor core 11 at constant intervals in the circumferential direction, permanent magnets 14 for magnetic pole formation inserted into the respective magnet insertion holes 13 and an outer circumferential hole 19 provided in the outer circumferential part of the rotor core 11. The outer circumferential hole 19 in the circumferential direction of the rotor core 11 ranges from a position of a predetermined angle for the d axis (electrical angle ϕ 1 for the d axis) to a position of a predetermined angle for the d axis (electrical angle ϕ 2 for the d axis), i.e., near the chip portion 18 existing on the side separating from the d axis (q axis side).       SOLUTION: The stator 1 for a rotary electric machine is provided with a stator core 2, three-phase coils 3, 4, and 5, which are respectively wound around the stator core 2 and whose pole-coils are connected with each other while being circumferentially arranged alternately at equal intervals, and each insulating paper 8A between the different phases and each insulating paper 8B between the same phases which are respectively provided to coil end parts 3ae, 3be, 4ae, 4be, 5ae, and 5be, each protruding from the end face 2a of the stator core 2, of the coils 3, 4, and 5 of each phase. The insulating paper 8A between the different phases is arranged between the respective different-phase coil end parts, that is, between 3ae, 3be and 4ae, 4be and between 4ae, 4be and 5ae, 5be. The insulating paper 8B between the same phases is arranged over an area from the inner peripheral side of each coil end part 3ae, 4ae, and 5ae of each pole-coil 3a, 4a, and 5a to the outer peripheral side of each coil end part 3be, 4be, and 5be of each pole-coil 3b, 4b, and 5b that is adjacent to each pole-coil 3a, 4a, and 5a.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the connecting work of a 3-phase armature coil and to facilitate the insulation of the coil ends by continuously forming a plurality of coils concentrically and without cutting a conductor to form a coil group and reducing the connecting positions between the coils. CONSTITUTION:A coil A1 to be contained in slots 1, 4 is formed of a conductor, and a coil A2 to be contained in slots 2, 3 are continuously formed without cutting the condutor. The coils A1, A2 are respectively contained in the slots 1, 4 and 2, 3 in such a manner that one coil is inverted. A power terminal is connected to the open ends U, V, W of the respective coil groups, and the open ends X, Y, Z are coupled in a Y-connection.

An impulse discharge test of (C) applies an impulse voltage between two phases of each phase coil, and verifies insulation abnormality between the different phases of each phase coil by detecting the existence of occurrence of partial discharge at the time.
