SOLUTION: The flexible wiring board 45 has a triangular enlarged part 48 spreading from a corner 45f where first and second extended parts 45a and 45b intersect to a position facing the lower surface of an optical pickup 26. Since the optical pickup 26 moves to pass over the U-shaped enlarged part 48 at all times, the lower corner 26 of a bearing part 26a is prevented from being hooked to the edge of the enlarged part 48 of the flexible wiring board 45. A conductive pattern 49 is formed on the upper surface of the enlarged part 48. The corner 45f, where the first and second extended parts 45a and 45b intersect is reinforced by the conductive pattern 49 and held not to touch the lower surface side of the optical pickup 26.

SOLUTION: An optical head 50 includes a fixing member 34 secured to a base 12 in a state being separated from a yoke 32. Thus, since a lens holder 24 supported on the fixing member 34 by four elastic supports 36 is provided independently of the yoke 32 having a pair of magnets 30 and 30 fixed thereto, in an assembling process, gaps B and C respectively between the pair of magnets 30 and 30 and a focusing coil 26, and a tracking coil 28 are adjusted to be very small optimal values. Thus, in the assembling process, since the relative positions of the magnets 30 and 30, the focusing coil 26 and the tracking coil 28 are adjusted to be very small dimensions so as to prevent the gaps B and C from being uneven, the necessity of considering the machining error of each member and variance in assembling accuracy is eliminated, and the driving sensitivity of the optical head is increased.

Since each section 2-4 can be displaced around the fulcrum sections 8 and 9 and the sections 8 and 9 are provided at the central part of the side face of each magnetic head section, the adjustment error can be reduced as compared with the constitution where the fulcrums are provided at the lowest part of each section 2-4.

摘要： PURPOSE:To thin a main magnetic pole to perform high-density recording by forming a nonmagnetic film as a thin film on a substrate and forming a soft magnetic film on this nonmagnetic film. CONSTITUTION:Though a butt surface 9a of a core half body 9 is polished into a specular surface before a nonmagnetic film 6 is formed there, acute and fine ruggedness remains on the surface 9a and the surface roughness of the surface 9a is about 0.01S to cause the degradation in magnetic characteristic. Therefore, the nonmagnetic film 6 is formed on the surface 9a by sputtering or the like to make the surface 6a of a satisfactorily smooth surface. Then, the surface roughness of the surface 6a is 0.002S. Since the film thickness of a main magnetic pole 7 is generally 0.3-0.1mum for the purpose of attaining a high density, the surface roughness to the film thickness is about 1/100, and the degradation in magnetic characteristic of the soft magnetic film due to the surface roughness can be almost ignored and the soft magnetic characteristic is improved. A soft magnetic film as the main magnetic pole 7 is formed on the nonmagnetic film 6 formed in this manner to constitute a vertical magnetic head 1.
