摘要： PURPOSE:To perform stable adsorption operation without requiring so much high pressure by packing adsorbents in such a way that when the flow rate of the liquid passing in an adsorption tower is constant the density of each packed bed is kept substantially constant with time and that the pressure drop of each packed bed is kept constant with time. CONSTITUTION:A liquid inlet 4 communicating with a distributor 3 and an air port 5 are provided in the upper part of a multiple stages fixed bed type adsorption tower 1, and a liquid outlet 6 is provided in the bottom part. Further, a stationary bed supporting plate 7 is fixed in the lower part of the tower 1, and plural trays 8 are stacked via means 9 maintaining intertray spaces in the upper part. Soft adsorbents 2 are consolidated and packed between the trays 8 at prescribed density, that is, in the packed state in which the adsorbents are maintained substantially at constant packing density during the passage of liquid. The liquid to be treated is passed from a tank 13 for the liquid to be treated through the inlet 4 into the tower 1, and the treated liquid is conducted through the outlet 6 to a tank 15 for the treated liquid.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prepare the titled preparation having specific adsorptivity to proteins, and useful for the separation and purification of proteins, by reacting a water-insoluble and hydrophilic polymer having activated hydroxy groups in the molecule with tannin or its amino derivative. CONSTITUTION:(A) A water-insoluble, hydrophilic polymer having activated hydroxy groups in the molecule (e.g. epoxy-activated agarose) is made to react with (B) a solution obtained by dissolving tannin or an amino derivative of tannin in an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate, after adjusting the pH of the reaction system to 10.5 with sodium hydroxide, etc., at 37 deg.C. After the completion of the reaction, the reaction product is filtered, and the filtrate is washed successively with water, a carbonate buffer solution, and water, to obtain the objective water- insoluble tannin preparation. The component (A) may be a water-insoluble, hydrophilic polymer having amino groups or diazotized amino groups.

CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble and hydrophilic carrier, e.g., an alkylated rolysaccharide, is added to an aqueous solution of tannin (e.g., pyrogallol tannin) with a pH3-10, the prepared solution is shaked, water-insoluble materials are filtered and removed, and the solution is washed with water, to give a water-insoluble tannin pharmaceutical preparation. The water-insoluble tannin pharmaceutical preparation is brought into contact with an enzyme-containing solution, to give the desired immobilized enzyme. In the operation, for example, by a batch method, the water- insoluble tannin pharmaceutical preparation is added to the enzyme-containing solution and stirred, so that only the enzyme is adsorbed on the water-insoluble tannin pharmaceutical preparation. Consequently, since the prepared immobilized enzyme has high bond strength between the adsorbate and the enzyme, the enzyme will not be disclosed in a substrate solution having high ionic strength or in an enzyme reaction at high temperature.
