This expanded shape is regulated by a tether 23 covering an outer peripheral surface of the airbag 20. Thereby, the tether 23 functions to restrain the independent behavior of each of the tubular bags 20A, 20B, 20C when the expanded airbag 20 abuts on an occupant between the seat belt W and the occupant.

Both ends of the partition wall fabric piece 20D are sewed on the front surface fabric 20A, and the central portion is sewed on the back surface fabric 20B, so that the inside of the airbag is partitioned to a central inflatable section 40 and support inflatable sections 42, 42 located between both sides of the central inflatable portion 40 and a passenger side. When the airbag is inflated between a webbing W and the passenger to restrain the passenger, the central inflatable portion 40 is inflated to be supported by the support inflatable portion 42 to support the tension of the webbing W.
