摘要： PURPOSE:To treat zinc plated steel plate scraps to those suited for raw materials for cast iron by heating said scraps to temps. around the b.p. of zinc, thereby evaporating the plated zinc and separating the same from the scraps. CONSTITUTION:Zinc plated steel plate scraps are supplied from the upper part of the cylinder of a rotary kiln, and are heated with gas burners from the lower part. When the inside of the cylindr is heated to 907 deg.C which is the b.p. of zinc or temps. above this, the plated zinc evaporates and the gas thereof is forced upward by the combustion gas of the burners, and is discharged to the outside of the cylinder. The steel plate scraps removed of the zinc plating are transferred downward in the cylinder and are removed from the bottom end.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a titled base which makes best use of an oscillation damping power, etc. and provides an improved acoustic effect by forming said base of a cast iron which consists of C, Si and Fe, etc. having a specific compsn. and in which graphite is grown to coarse grain size.
CONSTITUTION: A base for a speaker box is formed of a cast iron which consists of 3.0W4.2% C, 1.5W3.0% Si, and the balance iron and if necessary Mn and other elements and in which graphite is grown as coarsely as possible. The base makes best use of the oscillation damping power, rigidity and weight intrinsic to the cast iron and further provides in an improved accoustic effect. The base has a better interior effect by taking advantage of the freedom for design as a cast iron product. The reson for limiting the above-mentioned component compsn. lies in that C is required to be incorporated at ≥3.0% in order to grow coarsely the graphite in the compsn. of a gray cast iron but that, if it exceeds 4.2%, an undesirable decrease in strength and a roughened surface are caused. Si is required to be incorporated at ≥1.5% in order to grow coarsely the graphite but if it exceeds 3.0%, ferrite is undesirably herdened.

As compared to that of cast iron rotor, a vibratory damping characteristic is improved over an entire range of frequency except a frequency of around 300Hz.

摘要： PURPOSE:To inhibit spheroidization of graphite and to obtain stable vermicular graphite cast iron easily by oscillating molten metal for spheroidization. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal of raw material iron of the compsn. contg., for example, 3.9wt% C, 2.8wt% Si, 0.4wt% Mn, and 0.02wt% S, and consisting of the balance Fe and impurities is made. As spheroidizing agents, 0.3wt% Fe-Si and 1.4wt% Fe-Si-Mg are inoculated in said molten metal to produce the molten metal for spheroidizing. After a ladle contg. such molten iron for spheroidization is oscillated for about 40sec in a horizontal direction at, for example, 3mm. amplitude and 30Hg frequency, the molten iron is charged into molds. As a result, vermicular graphite V crystallizes over the entire surface and the stable vermicular cast iron is obtained.
