CONSTITUTION:The crossed axes angle of a work W having two planes 1 and 2 as planes to be measured is measured. At this time, an intersection line 3 between the two planes 1 and 2 is made to agree with the X axis. A CCD camera 4 as a vision sensor is provided on the Z axis which is orthogonally intersected with the X axis. The image is picked up with the camera 4 toward an intersection O of both axes X and Z in a field of view 5. The YZ plane is inclined by an angle beta, and this plane is made to be the plane to be illuminated with planar light. The planar light 7 passing an original point O is projected on this plane. The planar light 7 which is emitted from an light emitting device 8 hits the planes to be measured a 1 and 2, and linear light-ray patterns 9 and 10 passing the original point O are formed on both planes. At this time the crossed axes angle between the two planes 1 and 2 can be expressed as the sum of the inclination angles alpha1 and alpha2 of the planes 1 and 2 with respect to the Z axis.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the distance between a nozzle and a material to be processed with respect to a material of every kind with good accuracy by providing a protective part for protecting a coil from sputtering and the heat radiation of a processing part at the time of laser processing to the leading end part of a coil holding member. CONSTITUTION:A distance detector is equipped with the detection coil C1 and temp. compensation coil C2 connected to an eddy current type distance detecting electric circuit generating an eddy current in a work W. The detection coil C1 is arranged to the hollow coil holding member, which is mountable on a processing head 11 in the vicinity of the leading end part thereof, on the leading end side thereof and the compensation coil C2 is arranged to said coil holding member on the base part side thereof and a protective part for protecting the coils C1, C2 from sputtering and the heat radiation of a processing part at the time of laser processing is provided to the leading end part of the coil holding member. The coil protective member is formed, for example, into a truncated cone shape having a conical cavity therein and a flange 21a at the upper part thereof and mounted outside the conical nozzle 23 provided to the processing head 11. Further, the cable 21e connecting the coils C1, C2 is made heat-resistant by applying Teflon processing to the surface thereof.

The eddy current sensor 37 generates an AC magnetic field, detects a distance L extending from the end face to a work 5, and supplies it to an A/D converting part 38. The A/D converting part 38 brings a detected value to A/D conversion and supplies it to an angle calculating part 40. The angle calculating part 40 calculates an angle theta of the work 5, and supplies it to a display part 41 and an interface 42. The interface sets the supplied angle theta as the present angle of the work 5, when it is supplied to an NC controller 2 as the bending angle theta, and controls a moving amount of a driving mechanism 14 so that the angle thetaof the work 5 goes to a set angle.

The spatters stuck to the lower part of the sensor fitting member 35, a coil C1 for detecting the distance, the surface of the work W, etc., are then scattered and removed.     • PURPOSE:To measure the distance between a nozzle and a work right under the nozzle with good accuracy by constituting the nozzle of a heat-resistant non-metallic material, coating a thin metallic film on the inside surface thereof and providing an eddy current type displacement sensor which detects the distance between the nozzle and the work to the top end thereof. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 19 is formed of the heat-resistant non-metallic material such as ceramics and is highly resistant to heat. The thin metallic film 21 is coated on the inside surface of such nozzle 19 to reflect a laser beam LB and to prevent the nozzle 19 from injury. A coil 25 as the eddy current type displacement sensor is provided in proximity to the top end of the nozzle 19. The metallic film 21 coated on the inside surface of the nozzle 19 is extremely thin and is apart from the sensor 25; therefore, the greater part of the eddy current flows to the work W side when the sensor 25 is energized by a high frequency. The eddy current flowing in the film 21 is small and is negligible. Thus the sensor 25 can measure the distance L between the nozzle 19 and the work W right under the nozzle with the high accuracy.
