    • PURPOSE:To dispense with any special liquid quantity control even when each cooling unit is installed at a position different in height from others, by providing cooling units having first heat exchangers disposed in stories different in height and by providing second heat exchangers provided at higher positions than the cooling units. CONSTITUTION:Each of air-conditioning units 33a, 33b,... as cooling units disposed on the side to be air-conditioned is provided in the middle of a cool water pipe system 30 of forced circulation and cooled by a heat exchanger 31 disposed at a little higher position than each air-conditioning unit and by a gravity-type heat pipe 32 connecting the airconditioning units. A refrigerant inside the gravity-type heat pipe 32 is cooled to be condensed by the heat exchanger 31 and the condensed refrigerant is returned to each air-conditioning unit through a level controller 34. The liquid-phase refrigerant flowing into each of the air-conditioning units 33a, 33b,... is subjected to heat exchange with air on the side to be air-conditioned and vaporized and returns to the heat exchanger 31 through the heat pipe 32.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain instruments in preferably condition at all times by a method wherein air, heated by heat generating instruments, is introduced into a ventilating space by a ventilating fan to cool it to a proper temperature by a cooling unit while the cooled air is returned into a space, in which desks and the like are provided, from an air outlet port through a partitioning under the condition of breeze. CONSTITUTION:A ventilating space 3, partitioned from the vicinity of heat generating instruments 20 so as to be communicated with a hollow partitioning 1, is provided below the top plate 21 of a desk 2 while a fan 4 is installed near an air inlet port 30 in the space 3 and a cooling unit 5 is installed near a communicating port 31 between the ventilating space 3 and the partitioning 1 respectively. Air outlet ports 10, consisting of a multitude of small holes, are provided on a surface faced to the heat generating instruments 20 in the comparatively upper part of the partitioning 1. Air in the space, in which the heat generating instruments 20 are installed, is guided into the space 3 by the operation of the fan 4 and is cooled by the cooling unit 5 to a proper temperature, then, is returned to the side where the desk 2 is installed from the upper air outlet ports 10 through the partitioning 1 under the condition of breeze.

    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently exhibit evaporation function while maintaining the level of an operating liquid to the same by providing a cooling unit for every beating equipment, providing the cooling unit with an inner tube wherein an evaporation portion is inserted via an outer tube and a narrow communication gap and constructing by a plurality of pipes communicating upper and lower end portions with upper and lower header tubes. CONSTITUTION:A heating equipment 2 is mounted in a portion partitioned by partitions 1 on each stair (a) of a building. A cooling unit 3 is mounted in adjacent to the heating equipment 2. The cooling unit 3 is constructed such that the upper and lower end portions of several pipes 30 are let communicate with out another by upper and lower header tubes 31 and 32, respectively. The upper and lower header tubes 31 and 32 communicate with pipings 6 and 5 of a vapor phase refrigerant and a liquid phase refrigerant, respectively. Each pipe 30 is composed of an outer pipe 30a, an inner pipe 30b and a small communicating gap 30c therebetween. Since an operating liquid (b) boils in the communicating gap 30c and generated bubbles (c) rise in the communicating gap 30c while rapidly expanding to push up the operating liquid (b), the liquid (b) reaches the upper end of the inner pipe 30b and falls in the inner pipe 30b whereby a stable operation is obtained without a decrease in a thermal conductivity.
