    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a pedestrian appropriately recognize the presence of a vehicle while suppressing glare given to the pedestrian, and to make a driver appropriately recognize the presence of the pedestrian further.SOLUTION: In a spot lamp control device for a vehicle, a pedestrian position obtaining part obtains a pedestrian position detected by a position detector.       SOLUTION: The light-shielding shade 34 for light distribution pattern formation is energized downward by a spring 39 and held in the vicinity of a focal point of a projection lens disposed in front of a light source-mounted reflector so as to slidingly contact an eccentric cam 36 supported to a pair of left and right columnar parts 77 erected on a base 76; a flat lower-side extension part 34b2 with a vertically extending elongate hole 34c formed therein is formed on the light-shielding shade 34 oppositely to the columnar parts 77 by a projection type headlamp vertically moving in parallel by the eccentric cam 36 driven by a motor 58; a plurality of horizontal guide pins 37 allowing positioning and slide along the elongate hole 34c are formed on the left and right columnar parts 77. The sliding contact area (sliding friction resistance) of the sliding part (an engagement part of the horizontal guide pins 37 with the elongate hole 34c) of the light-shielding shade 34 is small, whereby the light-shielding shade 34 can be smoothly vertically slid even by the small-capacity motor 58.

      SOLUTION: The headlight device for a vehicle 10 includes a left lamp unit, a right lamp unit and a headlight device control part 40. Each of the left lamp unit and the right lamp unit includes a bulb 30, a movable shade 48, a shade moving mechanism 58 and a fixed shade 50. Each movable shade 48 advances or recedes with respect to the light axis of the bulb 30, and forms a light distribution pattern for a low-beam by shielding a part of a light at an advanced position while allowing formation of a partial shape of a light distribution pattern for a high-beam at a receded position. The fixed shade 50 forms the partial shape of the light distribution pattern for a high-beam when the movable shade 48 is located at the receded position. A pattern control part determines each shape of the individual light distribution patterns by controlling each of the shade moving mechanisms 58 in the left lamp unit and the right lamp unit, and also determines a shape of a synthesized light distribution pattern by superimposing each of the individual light distribution patterns one on another.
