    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a carrier 4 for holding a container 2 and to accurately position the carrier 4 to processing heads 34, 52 and 56.
      SOLUTION: The container 2 is held between a fixed positioning member 42 installed in front of an advancing direction of the carrier 4 and a movable pressing member 43 energized by a spiral spring 46 from the backward side. A packing head 34, a capping head 52, and a container removing head 56 are arranged above a conveyor 6 for conveying the carriers 4. On the downstream side, an intermittent feeding screw 60 is installed which rotates intermittently and conveys the carriers 4 thereby in a manner wherein the carriers 4 abut on each other back and forth, and is controlled so that the suspended container 2 can be positioned to the processing heads 34, 52 and 56. If the container 2 is changed and a position of a mouth part 2a of it in the conveying direction is shifted thereby, the rotation of the intermittent feeding screw 60 is controlled to change the stop position so that the mouth part 2a of the container 2 can be positioned to the processing heads.
