    • PURPOSE:To prevent the tracking error by providing an orthogonal wave detector, a phase shifter, a multiplier which multiplies two signals having the same phase or phases opposite to each other, and a low pass filter from which a tracking error correcting signal is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A tracking error correcting signal generating circuit consists of an orthogonal wave detector 5 which detects synchronously an intermediate frequency signal, a phase shifter 6 which gives in-phase or anti-phase relations to two output signals of said detector, a multiplier 7 which multiplies these two signals, and a low pass filter 8 which takes out the tracking error compensating signal as a DC component from the output of the multiplier. The detector 5 generates an output in case of the tracking error, and the output is different in phase by 180 deg. between the frequency of a received wave higher than the tuning point of a tuning circuit and that lower than the tuning point of the tuning circuit. Consequently, a DC voltage different in polarity between the frequency of the wave higher than the tuning point of the tuning circuit and that lower than the tuning point of the tuning circuit is obtained when two output signals are multiplied and pass the low pass filter. Thus, the tracking error is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the effect of contiguous disturbance signals, by giving synchronous wave detection to AM stereo broadcast waves by means of the signals of the same phase and the signals having the phases shifted by 90 deg. to each other and accordingly ensuring the reception of the signal in a wide range. CONSTITUTION:Synchronous wave detection is given to the AM stereo signal which received the modulation of amplitude and phase by means of the synchronizing signals having the same phase as and a 90 deg. phase shift to an input AM wave. The output signals of the synchronous wave detection are defined as Ev cosphi and Evsinphi. These two signals are fed to a square sum subduplicate circuit 8 to obtain a amplitude modulation component Ev. While a tangent of the phase modulation component is obtaind by feeding the above-mentioned two signals to a divider circuit. The difference component between the left and right channels is extracted out of the product of the tangent and the amplitude modulation component. Then the left channel is separated from the right channel by a matrix circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To secure selection and output of the necessary and steady frequency by counting the output frequency of the variable frequency oscillator via the signal which gives the necessary gate time and then giving the count value as the division ratio of the programmable divider. CONSTITUTION:The output of voltage control oscillator 1 is divided by programmable divider 2, and the phase comparison is performed at phase comparator 4 between the division output and the reference oscillation output of reference oscillator 3. Then the output of comparator 4 is fed back to oscillator 1 via the LPF and DC amplifier 5 to give control to the frequency of oscillator 1. Frequency counter 7 which counts the output frequency of variable frequency oscillator 6 is installed to such circuit along with latch circuit 9 which latches the output of counter 7. Then the count value of counter 7 is controlled by the timing signal of timing circuit 8 which uses the reference oscillation output of oscillator 3 as the input, and the output of counter 7 is applied as the division ratio of divider 2. Thus the frequency of oscillator 6 is altered, and the frequency of oscillator 1 is selected to the necessary frequency.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a demodulation circuit without using an analog multiplier or the like, by switching synchronizingly an input amplitude modulation signal by a switching wave not including the 3rd harmonic for demodulating the signal. CONSTITUTION:A composite signal is inputted to a signal input terminal 1 of an FM stereo demodulation circuit and a clock signal produced in synchronizing with a pilot signal is inputted to a clock signal input terminal 2. This clock signal is frequency-divided at 1/3 and 1/2 frequency division circuits 3, 4 to output a couple of outputs Q1, Q1', Q2, Q2' having opposite phase, and the outputs are applied to AND gates 5, 6 and a pulse Q3 where 120 deg. period being 1/3 of one period is at H level and the rest is L level is outputted from the gate 5 and a pulse Q4 of opposite phase difference is outputted from the gate 6. The pulses Q3, Q4 control switches 9, 10 switching the composite signal of a switching circuit 7. Further, the input amplitude modulation wave is demodulated by the switching wave not including the 3rd harmonic and a difference signal L-R is outputted from the circuit 7.
