    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel in which a discharge starting voltage is lowered by improving an electrode structure and the bright room contrast of the PDP can be improved.
      SOLUTION: The implemented plasma display panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate arranged opposed to each other, barrier ribs which demarcate the space between the first substrate and the second substrate into at least one discharge cell, an address electrode formed along a first direction, and a display electrode formed along a second direction crossing the first direction. The display electrode comprises a bus electrode formed extended in the second direction, expansion electrodes which are expanded from each bus electrode toward the inside of each discharge cell and are formed opposed to each other with a discharge gap in each discharge cell, and auxiliary electrodes which are positioned at the mutually opposed tip ends of each expansion electrode.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel that can reduce a discharge firing voltage while improving efficiency.
      SOLUTION: The plasma display panel of an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to each other with a predetermined space in between, the space being divided into a plurality of discharge cells; a phosphor layer formed in the discharge cells; an address electrode formed on the first substrate to extend along a first direction; and a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the first substrate to extend along a second direction intersecting the first direction while being electrically insulated from the address electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are formed to be opposed to each other with a space interposed therebetween. At least one of the first and second electrodes is formed such that the degree of protrusion toward the inside of the discharge cells is different between an end portion thereof closer to the second substrate and an end portion thereof closer to the first substrate.
