    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat fluorescent lamp and its manufacturing method and display device provided with the lamp which has an improvement in the brightness of the lamp and a reduction in the power consumption. SOLUTION: The flat fluorescent lamp comprises a main body having a discharge space formed divided into a plurality of spaces, a pair of electrodes including an electron transfer electrode for transferring electrons by a voltage applied from outside, wherein the pair of electrodes is placed separated on the inside plane of the main body as intersecting the respective discharge spaces, electron emission members each are placed on the electron transfer electrodes to activate the emission of electrons in the discharge spaces, and light emission part for emitting visible light by the electrons emitted.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device for improving light emission property, and to provide a liquid display device having the same.
      SOLUTION: The flat light source device has a lower substrate, an upper substrate, and a lower membrane. The upper substrate has a plurality of recessed parts recessing directing to the lower substrate to divide the discharge space into a plurality of discharge regions. The lower membrane has a connection path connecting together the adjoining discharge regions extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the recess. The connection path is formed between both ends of the longitudinal direction of the recess. The connection path is a line intersecting the all recesses, or a plurality of lines intersecting to each recesses. The light emission property is improved by removing drift phenomenon for the size of the connection path formed in the lower film is small enough not to generate the drift phenomenon.
