    • PURPOSE:To perform reduction by a small amount of a carbonaceous substance by generating a large amount of excessive gasifying heat, in a lance for use in preparing alloyed iron according to an iron bath coal gasifying process, by separately providing a nozzle for blowing in O2 for mainly aiming secondary combustion. CONSTITUTION:As a lance for preparing alloyed iron by melting and reducing a metal ore or metal oxide by utilizing an iron bath coal gasifying process, a non- immersion type top blowing perforated lance is used. This lance has the following structure. That is, one or more of a nozzle a1 for blowing a particulate material comprising a carbonaceous substance or a metal ore is provided to the center while plural nozzles a2 each for blowing a gasifying agent such as O2 are mounted to the periphery thereof and, herein, nozzles a3 for blowing O2 for secondary combustion are further provided on the same circumference of the nozzles a2 or to the outside thereof. By this structure, because O2 for mainly aiming secondary combustion can be blown apart from O2 as the gasifying agent, a large amount of excessive gasifying heat can be generated and a large amount of a metal ore can be melted and reduced by a small amount of a carbonaceous substance.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize and simplify the stage for refining and to reduce the cost thereof by mixing the powder of the prescribed compsn. obtd. by grinding and mixing a synthetic slag forming agent such as quicklime or the like in the gaseous oxygen flow for top blowing, adding the gaseous flow to molten iron and blowing an inert gas under the bath surface thereby stirring the molten steel. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen lance B for top blowing is inserted into the molten iron in a converter CV until the forward end thereof is positioned to the required height (h) above the surface S of the molten steel. CONSTITUTION: =1 kind slag forming agents such as quicklime, limestone, dolomite or the like to be added are charged in the form of lump from a chute S for charging raw material on a recovery hood for waste gas to the molten iron in a converter CV inserted therein with a lance L.       2 ejecting from the lance 2 and is blown to a fire point. More specifically, the powder slag making agent in the route 3 at the center is passed through the holes 5 provided in the lower part of the route 3 and is joined with the O
      2 ejected in to the outlet parts of the nozzle holes 6 disposed around the same, whereby said agent is dispersed in the ejected O
      2 . The powder slag making agent is thus contained in the O
      2 flow without using higher pressure in the power supply system in the case of said lance 2 and the life of the lance is prolonged with less abrasion in the powder nozzle part.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent economically and highly practically a nitrogen absorption of molten steel, by closing a sealing device of a converter open port and a suction damper to stop gaseous N2 sealing around the port and a purging of waste gas in the converter during the period from the beginning of reduction to finish. CONSTITUTION:At the decarbonization refining of high Cr steel, a hood 4a is lifted to release a converter open port 2a, and a suction damper is opened properly. A top-blown lance is inserted into the refining converter 2 from the port 2a to perform an oxygen top-blowing, and a purging of waste gas in the converter is performed by sealing the circumference of the port 2a with gaseous N2 to prevent an occurring of explosion of gaseous CO. At the last period of decarbonization or from the beginning of reduction period at the latest, the hood 4a is descended to close the port 2a, and the damper 5 is full closed to stop the sealing by gaseous N2 and the purging of waste gas. Gaseous Ar is supplied continuously from a tuyere 1 after that. In this way, the amount of gas in the converter is decreased, and an entering of air is prevented even after the last period of the decarbonization, and the absortion of nitrogen of the molten steel is prevented by keeping the partical pressure of the N2 in the converter in a low press.
