CONSTITUTION:Thickness meters 6a and 6b are set on the inlet and/or outlet sides of a reversible rolling mill 1, respectively. Thickness measurements in the longitudinal direction of the rolled material detected by the meters 6a and 6b are inputted into controllers 7 and 8, are compared with respective objective values, and a tension modifying value is outputted to a calculator 9. An output saturation device 1 provides the saturation limit of the modifying value from a modifying value calculator 10 and a calculator 12 performs integration and proportional calculation for setting of a constant dead zone. This method changes a reduction position changing value gradually. so that changeover from a tension to a pressing-down position is performed smoothly to increase plate thickness accuracy.

A tension setting signal T is inputted to an adder 18, an acceleration or deceleration command signal S for entire rolling speeds is inputted to a computing element 16, and an acceleration or deceleration electric current signal SA is calculated and is inputted to the adder 18. An electric current target value changing amount IC calculated by the arithmetic unit 52 is inputted to the adder 18, which calculates the electric current target value IA based on inputs each as the signals T and SA and inputs the IA value to an electric current controller 11. The controller 11 controls an electric source device so that an armature current is equalized to the target value IA based on the target value IA and a measured armature current I by a resister 7 being a feedback signal.

The detection signal is then respectively resolved to the functional components of the lower and higher degrees to execute the correction control. The control system of the sheet formation is made simple and the accuracy of the control is improved by the above-mentioned method.

    • PURPOSE:To keep the high accurate plate thickness with a tension between stands stably covering the total coil length by correctively controlling a rotating speed of the stand preceding the final stand and of the final stand based on outputs from a controlled variable arithmetic unit. CONSTITUTION:A tension detected by a tension meter 7 set between the stand 2 preceding the final stand 3 and the final stand 3 is compared with the tension target value 12 at a controlled variable arithmetic unit 22. Then, proportional plus integral arithmetic is performed and a control command is outputted to correct a plate thickness at the outlet side of the stand 2 to be thinner. A screwdown position correcting device 23 of the stand 2 controls a screwdown device 21 so as to correct a screwdown position of the stand 2 in the direction where a roll gap is closed. Outputs of the unit 22 are inputted into a roll speed correcting device 24 of the stand 3 and the device 24 calculates and outputs a command decreasing the final stand roll speed so that a plate thickness at the outlet side of the stand 2 corrected by the device 23 does not affect a finished plate thickness.

    • PURPOSE:To improve product quality by obtaining a necessary tension controlling value based on a thickness of a rolled material, while subtracting an equivalent tension value related to plate thickness change from the tension controlling value to obtain a tension modifying value, and adjusting reel motor currents based on the gained tension modifying value. CONSTITUTION:Thickness meters 6a and 6b are set on the inlet and outlet sides of a reversible 4 stages rolling mill 1, respectively. A feed forward controller 7 and a feed back controller 8 are also set on the mill 1. An output saturation device 11 provides high and low saturation limits for plate thickness control and armature currents of the reel motor are controlled by corresponding high and low limit values when the tension modifying value exceeds the saturation limit. A necessary tension controlling value is obtained by thickness measurements by thickness meters 6a and 6b, while a tension value equivalent to a reduction modifying value is subtracted from the tension controlling value to obtain a tension modifying value. The current of reel motors M2 and M3 is adjusted based on that tension modifying value. In this way, the accuracy of tension control is increased and the product quality is improved.
