    • PURPOSE:To active higher reliability on the light-coupling effect and embody construction of compact light-coupling device, by winding the optical fibers branched from the optical cable upon the dummy bobbins conncted to the same shaft with the revolving unit, whereupon multicored optical cable with its top end connected to the moving units are wound, and coupling said branched optical fibers with the stationary terminal units through pinch rollers and bundling device. CONSTITUTION:The top end of optical fibers is coupled with the moving unit 3, while the rear end is wound upon the revolving unit 1, then said fibers enter the revolving shaft 5a of said revolving unit 1, where said fibers are branched into dummy fibers having either single core or several cores, then, said branched fibers are respectively wound upon the dummy bobbins 16, 16a, and 16b, through the revolving shaft 5a, and pass through the pinch rollers 52, 52a, and 52b, and the bundling device 54, 54a, and 54b, before being coupled with the stationary terminal units 61, 61a, and 16b, respectively. The revolving unit 1 and the dummy bobbins 16, 16a, and 16b are revolved through the pulleys 35 and 37 and the belt 36 by the motor 38. Revolution is also carried on against the tension of the pinch rollers 52-52b. Thus, reliability on the light-coupling effect is improved, enabling the construction to embody a compact light-coupling device.

    • PURPOSE:To accomplish construction of a compact light-coupling device, by connecting the top end of optical cable wound upon the revolving units to moving units, with the rear end being led into revolving units, winding optical fibers branched from the optical cable upon the dummy bobbins which are jointly revolving coaxially with said revolving units, and connecting said rear end to the stationary terminal unit through bobbins connected to respectively different shafts. CONSTITUTION:For example, the optical cable 2 having five cores connected to the sea-bottom explorer 3, is wound upon the revolving unit 1, and said cable 2 enters into said revolving unit 1 through the passage hole 1a, and the two pieces branched into the optical fibers 2a respectively arrive at the revolving joints 5a, 5b, while the other 3 pieces are respectively wound upon the dummy bobbins 15x-15z, and then arrive at the revolving joints 5x-5z, through the 3 bobbins 18x-19z, having differet shafts each, and then connected to the stationary terminal units 8a, 8b, 8x-8z, respectively. The revolving unit 1 is revolved by the motor 12 through the pulleys 11, 13 and the belt 14, and the bobbins 18x-18z are revolved by the belts 21x-21z, respectively. Thus, said moving units are connected to said stationary terminal units without any obstacle, enabling compactification of the device.
