    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel nut which does not require a caulking process nor welding process upon attaching a cap, allows free shaping of a flange to some extent, and has improved liquidtightness, and a manufacturing method for the wheel nut.
      SOLUTION: A tilt angle θ1 between the direction perpendicular to the axis O of a cylindrical part 22 of a cap 20 and a skirt part 23 is made larger than a tilt angle θ2 between the direction perpendicular to the axis O of a hexagonal part 15 of a nut body 10 and a tilted part 12b. When the cylindrical part 22 of the cap 20 is press fitted tightly on the outer peripheral surface of the hexagonal part 15 of the nut body 10, the skirt part 23 deforms elastically as it is pressed by the tilted part 12b of a flange 12, and at least the outer periphery of the skirt part 23 is stuck closely over the tilted part 12b of the flange 12 by an elastic force resulting from the elastic deformation of the skirt part 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bolt having improved liquid tightness while making the shape of a flange somewhat free without the need for caulking or welding a cap when mounted, and to provide its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The cap 20 has a skirt portion 23 which is formed in a sloping shape farther from a cylinder portion 22 outward to the radial direction so as to be opposed to an inclined portion 12b of a flange 12 of a bolt body 10. When the cylinder portion 22 of the cap 20 is pressed into the outer peripheral face of a hexagonal portion 13 of the bolt body 10 with interference fit, the skirt portion 23 is thrust against the inclined portion 12b of the flange 12 of the bolt body 10, elastically deformed and put in close contact along the inclined portion 12b of the flange 12 of the bolt body 10 with the elastic force of the skirt portion 23. A front end 23c of the skirt portion 23 engages with a stepped portion 112c in close contact along the stepped portion 112c of the flange 12 of the bolt body 10.

      SOLUTION: The washer 90 is formed by: a metal plate 9 as the stock for a washer; a galvanizing layer 14 formed at the metal plate 9 as the stock for the washer by a zincate bath comprising a brightening agent; and a chromating layer 13, formed in the galvanizing layer 14, by a trivalent chromic acid solution uniformly suspended with silica particles 11. The silica particles 11 are uniformly distributed into the chromating layer 13 and are stuck thereto owing to excellent reactivity between the brightening agent and the trivalent chromic acid solution. By the screwing of a nut 10 fitted with the washer 90 and a bolt 17, the silica particles 11 bite in a member 7 (coating face 12), and the silica particles 11 are pulverized between the washer 90 and the nut 10, so as to prevent the co-rotation of the nut 10 and the washer 90.
