With this arrangement, the vibration transmitted from the pipe lines or the like is absorbed by the vibration damping rubber layers 4, 11, and accordingly, it is not transmitted to the building through the brace 13. Upon occurrence of earth quake, oscillation of the pipe lines or the like can be prevented due to the provision of the brace 13, and further, it is prevented from the vibration suppressing function from deteriorating even though the brace 13 is provided.

The changing work becomes easy if the floor plates are made to be a unit by coincidence of the dimensions of the short beams to those between the center axes of the joists.

The ropes 56, 57 and the rope-supporting members 51, 52, 53&54 are arranged so that relative positions between said ropes and said members can be adjusted so as not to make the positions vary. Therefore the gondola 100 can be suspended in a position where stability is secured. Thereby the gondola 100 can be set, roughly conforming to the iconographical view of a building, making a single type of gondola device serviceable to work in buildings of various shapes.
