    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize damage from the collision of a disk and a ramp head when impact is applied to a magnetic disk unit such as an HDD (hard disk drive).
      SOLUTION: The magnetic disk unit is so constituted that a ramp load 151 of a ramp load mechanism 41 to retract a magnetic head outside the disk 33 can retract in the direction of being away from the disk surface when the disk 33 is in idle state. Since the ramp load 151 can be released in the direction that the disk 33 is pressing even when the disk 33 wobbles and collides with the ramp load 151 by the acceleration when a impact, etc., is applied, a large load to the disk 33 and the ramp load 151 can be prevented and the risk of damage to the disk 33 and the ramp load 151 can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the structure and the assembling work of a motor shaft and to prevent the displacement thereof such as backlash from occurring by pressing the motor shaft toward a first bearing part. CONSTITUTION: A screw shaft is used also as the motor shaft 7 of a stepping motor 2 and the bearing 8 is set on a motor housing 2A side. Therefore, when the motor 2 is fitted to a fitting base 3, the bearing 8 is pressed to a second supporting part 3C and a flange part 6 integrated with the housing 2A is fixed to a motor housing supporting part 3A by using the pressing leaf spring 14 of an elastic member. Besides, since the shaft 7 is pressed to a first supporting member 3B side by a thrust spring 10A provided on the inside of a pressing member 10 arranged on the inside of the bottom surface of the housing 2A, the backlash thereof is eliminated. Therefore, the housing 2A and the shaft 7 can be easily rotated by a minute angle and the positioning of a reference track and a magnetic head 19 can be accurately and easily executed.

Therefore, the magnetic adsorption power of the disk 3 put on the table 10 is maximum at the position G. As a result, the disk 3 can be held at a horizontal position on the table 10 with the power more intensive than the upward power F if produced when the outer periphery 5b of the disk is pushed with the pin 12 tilted toward an arrow head (a').
