    • PURPOSE:To enhance mechanical strength such as compression strength, side surface collapse strength or the like, by integrally constituting a laminar body consisting of two or more layers of a porous layer and a dense layer. CONSTITUTION:An appropriate amount of water, a deflocculating agent and a molding aid are added to and mixed with an aluminum oxide powder having an average particle size of 60mum to prepare a slurry and, after said slurry is brought to a granular state having an average particle size of 70-100mum, a cavity is filled with said slurry under vibration to perform compression molding under predetermined pressure. The granular substance is contracted by about 35% to form a cylindrical gap between the molded body and a cylindrical member 2. Subsequently, an appropriate amount of water, the deflocculating agent and the molding aid are mixed with an aluminum oxide powder having an average particle size of 0.6mum and, after the resulting mixture is brought to a granular state having an average particle size of 60-120mum, the cylindrical gap between the molded body and the cylindrical member 2 is filled with said slurry under vibration to perform compression molding. This molded body is baked to obtain a tubular ceramics structure consisting of two layers of an inside porous layer and an outside dense layer.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to quickly form a compact at constant speed by a method wherein slurry-like material is forced in a cavity, which is formed by split air-permeable durable forces having respectively close contact permeable membranes thereon, and, after that, the solvent of slurry is removed through suction under vacuum. CONSTITUTION:Air vent holes 3 and 9 are respectively formed on the respective side walls of a top frame 1 and of a bottom frame 7, in which a top force 2 and a bottom force 8 made of sintered metal are respectively and internally installed. Permeable membranes 12 and 13 are brought into close contact with cavity surfaces 2a and 8a under suction by applying releasant on the cavity surfaces 2a and 8a, to which sucking action by vacuum is applied by means of a vacuum pump connected to both the top force 2 and the bottom force 8. After that, by registering both the top and bottom forces 2 and 8, a cavity 14 is formed. Under the state just mentioned above, when slurry-like ceramic 15 is forced in the cavity 14 from an inlet 6, the solvent of slurry passes through the permeable membranes 12 and 13 and vaporizes and is removed by being sucked. The slurry-like ceramic 15 evenly settles at constant speed and solidifies with uniform density.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform density basic body wherein neither sedimentation nor cohesion of raw material grain in a slurry is found by a method wherein the slurry is heated near to a melting temperature of a screening member and thereafter, cast into a cavity in a molding method for a basic body for sintering. CONSTITUTION:A molding method for a basic body for sintering is as follows; a non-permeable screening member capable of being dissolved in a slurry solvent is stuck fast to a molding surface of a basic body; a granular material is filled in a molding frame place thereon, and an upper face of the granular material is hermetically sealed to form negative pressure inside the molding frame; the screening member is drawn to the granular material side to form the molding face of the same form as that of the molding surface; then, the basic body is released from the mold, and the slurry wherein the solvent is added to the basic body is cast into a cavity formed in the same shape as a body to be molded by opposing vertically to each other under negative pressure. After specific time has elapsed, the negative pressure is released, and the basic body is taken out from the mold. In this case, the slurry is heated to near the melting point of the screening member and thereafter, cast into the cavity.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain stably a sintering prototype with a uniform density, by using a member of the material permeable for slurry solvent as shielding member and moisten and swell the shielding member uniformly to impart flexibility and extensibility to it when adhering it closely to a prototype member. CONSTITUTION:A porous moistening material 11 made by mixing uniformly a porous material with water is laid on a pan 10 in layered form, and a shielding member 9 composed of water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol film is placed on said porous moistening material 11, said shielding member 9 being suction- held by a film holding frame 12. The same material as said porous moistening material 11 is laid in layered form to be at a standstill on the upper surface of said barrier member 9 and then said shielding member 9 is uniformly moistened. Thereafter, said porous moistening material 11 on said shielding member 9 is removed and said film holding frame 12 is moved upward, so that swelled shielding member 9 is obtained. Further, said member 9 is suction- contacted along a prototype model 4, while it s is extended with the suction from the side of a prototype model plate 1.
