    • PURPOSE: To compress the molding sand by providing an opening hole communicated with a vacuum device and a compression plate hung down so as to be vertically shiftable in a closed cover and air-tightly possible to insert into a tapered stepping part of a closed cover and using a machine having low mechanical rigidity and strength. CONSTITUTION: When the pre-compression completes, a solenoid valve 33 is stopped to work and a piston 30 is descended to close a suction pipe 28. A solenoid 26 is again worked to discharge the air in the closed space. At the time of reaching a prescribed vacuum pressure, the solenoid valve 26 is stopped to work and a solenoid valve 34 is worked to descend the compression plate 23. When a seal 23a inserts into a small cross sectional area part 18a of the closed cover 18, a limit switch 21b is worked with a guide pin lever 21a and the solenoid valve 33 is worked with this signal and again, the piston 30 is floated up and the air quickly flows into the closed space through the lower part 31 of the piston and the suction pipe 28. The compression plate 23 is quickly pressurized toward the free surface of the molding sand 14 by the pressure difference between the upper and the lower surfaces and collided to the molding sand 14 at high speed to compress the molding sand.

    • PURPOSE:To allow secure joining by inserting a ceramics cylindrical body into a foamed resin body having projections on the circumferential surface of a cylindrical shape to form a cavity, packing a molding material contg. no binder therein to form a buffer layer and pouring a molten metal into the cavity to form the internal chill body. CONSTITUTION:The ceramics cylindrical body 4 is inserted into the cylindrical foamed resin body 1 having many projections 3 on the inside surface consisting of polystyrene. A box-shaped molding flask 6 having an air permeable structure is provided with a box body 8 having a reduced pressure chamber 7. The foamed resin body 1 is set onto an upper molding flask 6 coated with a mold coating material at need and the molding sand 11 without contg. the binder is packed into the cavity part between the molding flask, the foamed resin body and the ceramics cylindrical body. The front surface of the molding flask excluding a sprue 2 is hermetically sealed by a heat resistant hermetic sheet 12. After the air in the flask 6 is evacuated via a reduced pressure chamber 7 by a vacuum pump, etc., a molten Al alloy is poured from a sprue. The foamed resin body 1 is evaporated by combustion and the internal chill body of ceramics is produced. The shell part of the ceramics internal chill body is automatically cast in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To mold easily and efficiently a self-curing casting mold by storing the sand mixed with a binder and curing agent in a hopper and sucking said sand through a release hole at the bottom plate of a hopper into a molding flask under the reduced pressure below said plate while leveling off the height of the sand by an impeller. CONSTITUTION:The aperture of the molding flask 8 placed on a pattern board 1 is hermetically closed by the bottom plate 11a of the hopper 9 lowered by the actuation of a cylinder 10, thereby forming a hollow chamber C. On the other hand, the sand supplied from a hopper 31 and the binder and curing agent for molding the self-curing casting mold to be supplied respectively from conduits 33, 34 are added and mixed in a mixing vessel 23 provided with the impeller 26 and thereafter the mixture is supplied through the release port 28 into said hopper 9. The sand is stored in the hopper 9 while the height is leveled off by the impeller 22 attached to the vertical revolving shaft 21 of a motor 20. The inside of the hollow chamber C is then sucked and evacuated through the hollow chambers 2, 16 of the pattern plate 1 and the plate 11a by a vacuum pump 7 to suck and pack the sand in the hopper 9 into the chamber C; further the hopper 9 is lowered by the cylinder 10 to squeeze the sand if necessary. The packed sand is cured in this state and the self-curing type molding sand is thus obtd.
