    • PURPOSE:To make a range from low chucking force to ordinary chucking force alterable in a stepless manner by installing a computer which feeds an inverter with output voltage in response to a chucking force command performing clamping or loosening operation according to a sense of rectilinear motion of a ball screw by rotation of a three-phase induction motor and a control signal of frequency. CONSTITUTION:When a solenoid brake is excited and an induction motor 4 is rotated in the state that a ball screw shaft attracted with an armature is locked, this rotation is converted into rectilinear motion via a ball screw 5, so that clamping or loosening operation for a chuck 6 takes place in response to a sense of this rectilinear motion. At this time, speed control of the induction motor 4 serving as a base of the rectilinear motion is constituted to vary primary input frequency with an inverter 7, whereby frequency is alterable in a wide range and, what is more, holding power of the chuck 6 is also extensively alterable. In this connection, an adjusting range of this chucking force is yet more enlargeable by making output voltage variable with the inverter 7.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the length of an induction motor in its axial direction by providing a conducting part, consisting of material of specific gravity larger than that of a die-cast material, to be placed in a slot and/or in a short-circuit ring and forming a balancer. CONSTITUTION:A bar member 8, consisting of Cu with specific gravity larger than Al, has a sectional shape with the peripheral curvature almost agreeing with the curvature in an upper part bottom of a slot 2 forming a sector section, and the bar member 8, partly bringing its peripheral surface into contact with the upper part bottom and extending in the axial direction in an Al conductor 3, protrudes the one end from the slot 2 into a short-circuit ring 4. This bar member 8 is provided in the two or more slots 2 adjacent to each other, and a balancer of required weight as the total is formed by these two or more bar members 8. Since the balancer is placed in the slot or in the short-circuit ring, a rotor enables its length to be shortened in the axial direction.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain characteristics demanded by a consumer at a low cost and easily, by making a part if the conductor part of Al die casting type rotor into a non-die casting conductor part having a conductivity different from that of Al. CONSTITUTION:A slot 1a has no opening and is formed into a fan shape where a slot width becomes narrower to the lower side. A bar conductor part 4A is composed of, for example, a copper bar, its peripheral face is partially in contact with the upper bottom part of said slot 1a, and its both ends are so positioned as to protrude outwardly from the slot 1a. An Al conductor part 4B occupies a part excepting that occupied by said bar conductor part 4A out of a space within the slot 1a. When the copper bar 4A is merely inserted from one end side of an iron core 1 into the upper part of said slot 1a at the time of forming of said conductor part 5, the conductor part 5 is positioned in the upper part to define a space together with the lower part side of said slot 1a. Then, said space is filled with Al and a short-circuit ring 3 is formed therein by the Al die casting method or the centrifugal casting method known heretofore.
