    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for temperature control to continuously obtain a carbide having stability in quality. SOLUTION: This carbonization apparatus is composed of (A) a horizontal rotary carbonization oven having a downgrade, (B) a metering feeder for carbonization materials, provided on one side in the machine direction and (C) a discharging means provided on the other side in the machine direction so as to gradually advance metered carbonization materials from one end to the other of the oven at a constant speed and so as to conduct all procedures in carbonization comprising drying, carbonization through warm-up and refinery carbonization. When external heat supply is almost stopped and carbonization material supply is initiated after warm-up operation for rising the temperature of the inside of the oven up to the set point, followed by exothermic reaction accompanying carbonization (thermal decomposition), a method of this invention is to detect the temperature of the inside of the oven at the boundary region between the carbonization through warm-up and the refinery carbonization and to decrease the feed rate of carbonization materials in the case that the detected temperature is higher than the set point in carbonization and to increase the feed rate of carbonization materials in the case that the detected temperature is lower than the set point in carbonization. It is possible to maintain the constant temperature inside the oven according to the set temperature in carbonization by making carbonization materials causing exothermic reaction through thermal decomposition act as a heat source and by increasing or decreasing the quantity of the heat source in itself.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonizing device aiming at the further effective utilization of an exhaust heat by heating a carbonizing material effectively while aiming at the production of a dry distilled gas having a high heat value. SOLUTION: This carbonizing device is constituted of a carbonizing furnace 1 with a rotary drum 12 and end part covers 13, 14 closing its both ends at not rotating state and constituted by linking one end side of tubular shaft in X-direction with a carbonizing material supplying means 2 and other end side with an exhausting means 3 and an exhausted gas treating means 5. The exhaust gas treating means is constituted of a first condenser 52 separating a dry distilled gas to a combustible gas and a crude wood vinegar liquid, a evaporating apparatus 53 and a second condenser 54 for distillation and purification of the crude wood vinegar liquid. A radiant tube burner 4 is arranged at the upper part without contacting to the carbonizing material in the carbonizing furnace, and the heat introducing end 41a and heat exhausting end 41b of the tubular body 41 are supported in the state of penetrating each of the end covers. The combustible gas is supplied to the burning burner 42 as a fuel. By connecting the heat exhausting end with the evaporator, the burnt exhausted gas is supplied as a heating source for the purification of the crude wood vinegar liquid. The temperature inside of the carbonizing furnace is directly elevated by making a thin hole in the tubular body and leaking the inside combustion gas into the furnace.

    • PURPOSE:To provider a carbonizing stem so designed that the inside of the carbonizing oven of a horizontal rotary drum is altered to or maintained at a desired temperature throughout the cylinder axial direction to uniformize the temperature throughout the inside of the carbonizing oven in batch type and also to enable different temperatures to be set in the carbonizing material advancing direction in continuous type. CONSTITUTION:The feed port 8a at one end in the direction of the cylinder axial X-direction of a carbonizing oven 1 is equipped with a 1st burner 4a, and the exhaust port 8b at the other end with a 2nd burner 4b. The feed port side region inside the carbonizing oven is equipped with a 1st thermosensor 13a, and the exhaust port side region with a 2nd thermosensor 13b. The carbonizing temperatures at the respective thermosensor positions are set in a temperature setting device 61, and fuel feed and air feed to both the burners 4a, b and outside air introduction by a 4th air control valve 44 are variably controlled by a controller 6 so that the detected values for the respective thermosensors come to the set temperature, thus the temperature throughout the cylinder axial direction of the carbonizing oven is brought to the set temperature.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a method of allowing individual components to surely function so as not to exert the influence to each component, even when thermal expansions occurs on the carbonization treatment. CONSTITUTION: A carbonization oven 1 is composed of a main body 11 of a horizontal rotary type, a cover 12 on the feeding side end and the cover on the discharging side end. The main body is supported with the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder where these cylinders are concentric, has an annular space between them and the inner cylinder is made relatively displaceable in the cylinder axis X direction but relatively undisplaceable in the circumferential direction. The driving power for the rotation from the motor 51 is transmitted by the pin transmitters 53 comprising a plurality of pins set to the circumference of the outer cylinder and the sprockets 52 which interlock with the transmissions. This oven is installed on the base 2 through the covers on both side ends using regulating means to regulate the relative displacement of the outer part of the cylinder shaft toward the cylinder shaft, but permit the relative displacement of the inner part toward the cylinder shaft.
