    • PURPOSE:To provide a carbonization device so designed that temperature fall is prevented and temperature distribution uniformized in a rotary kiln-type carbonization oven when preheated air is to introduced into the oven to improve both carbonization efficiency and carbonized product yield. CONSTITUTION:The device is equipped with (A) a rotary kiln-type carbonization oven 1, (B) a flue gas treating means 3 for flue gas produced as a result of carbonization, (C) a pipe 4 through which air is introduced into the carbonization oven and (D) a heat exchanger 5 to heat the air introduced above by the exhaust gas from an afterburner 23. The down stream end of the pipe 4 is made to communicate with on the side of a coal material feed section 12 for the oven 1 and the upstream end of a flue gas outlet pipe 21 on the side of a carbonized product discharge section 13. The flue gas treating means is equipped with the 2nd blower 24 for forced suction of the flue gas from the oven 1 and the pipe 4 with the 4th blower 28 to force feed preheated air into the oven 1. Both the blowers are controlled by a controller 15 based on the detected values from a pressure sensor 14 to ensure maintaining the inner pressure in the oven 1 at a specified value a slightly lower than the atmospheric pressure.

    • PURPOSE:To save resources and energy of a fuel required for heating so as to carry out the carbonizing treatment while regulating a heating temperature caused by the carbonizing treatment to a prescribed one. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus for carbonization is equipped with a dry distillation furnace 1, a heating means 4 for heating the interior of the dry distillation furnace, an open air introduction means 33 for introducing the open air into the dry distillation furnace, a temperature sensor 36 for sensing the internal temperature of the dry distillation furnace and a controlling means 8 for controlling the respective operations of the heating means and the open air introduction means. The controlling means 8 is constructed from the first controlling part 37 for operating the heating means and increasing the temperature of the interior of the dry distillation furnace to an intermediate temperature in its heating process to the carbonizing treatment temperature, the second controlling part 38 for stopping the operation of the heating means, operating the open air introduction means and increasing the temperature of the interior of the dry distillation furnace from the intermediate temperature to the carbonizing treatment temperature by combustion of a carbonaceous material itself and the third controlling part 39 for keeping the internal temperature of the dry distillation furnace at the carbonizing treatment temperature by regulating the amount of the introduced open air in the open air introduction means.

    • PURPOSE:To provider a carbonizing stem so designed that the inside of the carbonizing oven of a horizontal rotary drum is altered to or maintained at a desired temperature throughout the cylinder axial direction to uniformize the temperature throughout the inside of the carbonizing oven in batch type and also to enable different temperatures to be set in the carbonizing material advancing direction in continuous type. CONSTITUTION:The feed port 8a at one end in the direction of the cylinder axial X-direction of a carbonizing oven 1 is equipped with a 1st burner 4a, and the exhaust port 8b at the other end with a 2nd burner 4b. The feed port side region inside the carbonizing oven is equipped with a 1st thermosensor 13a, and the exhaust port side region with a 2nd thermosensor 13b. The carbonizing temperatures at the respective thermosensor positions are set in a temperature setting device 61, and fuel feed and air feed to both the burners 4a, b and outside air introduction by a 4th air control valve 44 are variably controlled by a controller 6 so that the detected values for the respective thermosensors come to the set temperature, thus the temperature throughout the cylinder axial direction of the carbonizing oven is brought to the set temperature.
