摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a rear derailer for bicycles with sheet-metal structure without lowering the function, and facilitate manufacture of it. CONSTITUTION: A bracket 6 is energized around a first axis in relation to an adapter to give tensile force to a chain. When a shift lever unit is controlled to drive and operate a rear derailer, a plate body 26 is parallelly shifted in the direction parallel to the first axis, since the bracket 6, a first link 22, a second link 23, and the plate body 26 form a four-joint parallel link mechanism. The plate body 26 is energized around a second axis parallel to the first axis in oder for outer and inner plates 43, 45 to be supported on the plate body itself, and to give tensile force to the chain. Since a guide pulley and a tension pulley 57 which are to be engaged with the chain, are arranged on the plates 43, 45, the chain can be parallelly moved to change the engagement with a rear sprocket.

CONSTITUTION:A speed change operating member 19 is installed on a swinging link 7, and when an inner wire 15a connected to a connecting part 19b is operated under tension, a return spring 20 transmits operation force to a support member 4 while accumulating it, and a guide pulley 1 shifts a chain to the large diameter sprocket side. When large speed change resistance acts, the swinging link 7 does not swing, and the return spring 20 accumulates tensile operation force as a saver spring, and when speed change resistance is reduced, the guide pulley 1 moves to the large diameter sprocket side, and shifts the chain. When the inner wire 15a is loosely operated, the swinging link 7 swings while coming into contact with a butt part 19c as it is, and shifts the chain to the small diameter sprocket side.
