    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article feeding device that feeds an oval cap 16 having a major axis L and a minor axis S from a chute 14 to a cap feeding wheel 12 so that the major axis L is directed to a conveying direction, and rotates the cap 16 so that the major axis L is directed in the rotation direction of the wheel 12.
      SOLUTION: A first recess 20a capable of accommodating the minor axis S side of the cap 16 and a second recess 20b formed on the rear side of the rotation direction and shallower than the first recess 20a are formed in a pocket 20 formed on the outer circumference of a wheel 14 to accommodate the cap 16. The cap 16 fed from the chute 14 to the first recess 20a with the major axis L directed to the front and back in the conveyance direction is hit against an interference roller 22 in accordance with the rotation of the wheel 12 to rotate the major axis L so as to be directed to the rotation direction of the wheel 12, thus, it is possible to arrange the chute 14 not in a tangential direction but in a direction toward the center.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the centering of a cap 12 having asymmetric shapes on the front and rear sides of both side faces 12c and 12d.
      SOLUTION: A cap holding device is equipped with a cap retaining means having a vacuum cup 26 for sucking a top face 12e of the cap 12 and a pair of engagement parts to be engaged with both side faces 12c and 12d of the cap, a driving means 32 for approaching/separating a pair of the engagement parts, and a pair of stoppers 52 and 56 which are respectively arranged on the front and rear sides of the cap sucked by the vacuum cup 26. The engagement parts have a V-shaped lever 40 with its center portion being supported by an upright supporting point 38, rollers 44 and 45 provided on both ends of the lever, and a spring 50 for respectively attracting the rollers backwardly. When the engagement parts are pressed against both side faces of the cap while sucking the cap by the vacuum cup, the cap is centered if the cap is deviated from its original center O2.

      SOLUTION: A film 2A wound like a roll is supported by a stand, and films 2A and 2B pulled out of the roll are fed by a feed roller 6. The film 2A is folded in the width direction on the way by a folding guide 4 to provide a four overlap state 2B. A rotary cutter 8 is arranged on a downstream side of a feed roller 6, and the film 2B is cut to a predetermined length. A cut film 2C is fed to a bring-over belt 42 via delivery rollers 64 and 66. The bring-over belt 42 grips and conveys about 1/2 section of the width direction of a film cut piece 2C, and delivers it to a gripper 40 of a supply disk 38. The gripper 40 is openable or closable, and grips the remaining part of the part of the film cut piece 2C gripped by the bring-over belt 42.
