摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread adjustment part of a carriage for harvesting work which can adjust the tread between its right and left wheels continuously over a wide range. SOLUTION: This carriage has a left and a right outside frame 2 fitted with front wheels 6a and 6b and rear wheels 7a and 7b, and a connection frame 3 which connect both the left and right outside frames 2 together. Tread adjustment parts 9 and 10 of the carriage for harvesting work which moves straddling a ridge, have a rack gear 9 which is fixed to the outside frames 2 and inserted into the connection frame 3 so that it can slide in the right-left direction, and a pinion gear 10 which adjusts the distance between the outside frames 2 and connection frame 3 by sliding the rack gear and is pivoted on the connection frame 3, obtaining the tread adjustment parts of the carriage for harvesting work which can adjust the tread between the right and left wheels continuously over a wide range.

SOLUTION: The carriage for harvesting work which moves straddling a ridge is provided with a left driving motor 10 and a right driving motor 11 which drives a front left driving wheel 6a and a right driving wheel 6b, a front distance sensor 14 and a rear distance sensor 15 which outputs a front distance signal TN1 and a rear distance signal TN2 indicating the distances between the outside wall of the ridge and the centers of the driving wheel 1 and rear wheel, a left rotation sensor 19 and a right rotation sensor 20 which detect the rotational frequency of the left driving wheel 6a and the rotational frequency of the right driving wheel 6b, and a control part 16 which controls a forward movement direction by controlling the rotational frequencies of the left driving wheel 6a and right driving wheel 6b according to an azimuth angle calculated from the front distance signal TN1 and rear distance signal TN2, thereby obtaining the carriage for harvesting operation which can be changed in direction automatically and improved in operability.
