摘要： PURPOSE:To decelerate an engine without a shock at the time of abnormal temperature rise so as to suppress overheat positively by performing the control of making plural cylinders excluding a part of cylinders misfire successively in the case of the engine temperature of three cylinders or more exceeding the specified value and engine speed being the specified value or more, but not performing the control in the case of engine speed being less than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:At the time of performing the overheat suppressing control of an engine 11 formed of three cylinders or more by a controller 24, the control of making plural cylinders excluding a part of the cylinders misfire successively at specified time intervals is started in the case of the temperature of the engine 11 exceeding the specified value and the engine speed being the specified value or more, but the control is not performed in the case of the engine speed being less than the specified value. As a result, operation is continued by a part of the cylinders after completing the successive misfire of plural other cylinders at the time of misfire control, so that the engine 11 is cooled while being decelerated, and the stop of the engine 11 caused by the lowering of output due to misfire is not generated in the case of the engine speed being less than the specified value. The generation of overheat can be thereby suppressed while maintaining the decelerated state.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected return operation of an engine by a method wherein, a device which causes an engine to fail in ignition when an engine temperature exceeds a given value, specified artificial operation after control of failure in ignition is added as one of release conditions for control of failure in ignition. When the decision is YES, it is decided whether or not the detecting result of a throttle detector 29 to detect the opening of a throttle valve serving as an artificial operation means exceeds alpha1 deg.. When the decision is YES, it is decided whether or not the number of revolutions of an engine determined from an output from a pulsed coil 27 exceeds N1rpm, and when the decision is YES, control of failure in ignition is executed. When during the decrease of an engine temperature, throttle operation is effected, a failure in ignition control state is released.

摘要： PURPOSE:To ensure improvement of steering performance during sailing in an outboard motor and the like by storing an optimum trim tab angle in advance in order improve steering performance in response to at least either steering force or a steering angle. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 46 of a trim tab control device receives both the steering force F of a receiving cylinder 40 by a steering shaft 36 detected by a pressure sensor 44, and the angle theta of a trim tab 20 detected by a speed reducer 24 through an input circuit 48 so as to read out an optimum trim tab angle THETAfrom a map in a ROM 52. Then an actual trim tab angle theta is compared with said optimum trim tab angle THETA for outputting a driving signal to a motor 22 through an output circuit 50 and a driver 56 so as to maintain the trim angle thetato be the optimum trim angle theta continuously during sailing. Owing to this constitution, steering performance is improved during sailing for improving steerage so as to ensure sharp feeling of steering.
