    • PURPOSE:To improve accuracy in controlling through negative pressure of intake air by directly connectingly combining one end of a negative pressure controlling piping with a crankcase, and connectingly combining the other end to a negative pressure chamber, and providing a check valve which permits only the negative pressure component to act on said negative pressure chamber, in an optional part of said piping. CONSTITUTION:The negative pressure chamber 35 of a fuel flow rate adjusting device 29 is connected to the crankcase 15 of an engine 10 through a negative pressure controlling piping 41 and a check valve 43. The check valve 43 permits only the component of negative pressure in the crankcase 15 to act on the negative pressure chamber 35. At the start of the engine 10, a negative-pressure force in the crankcase 15, which acts on the diaphragm 34 of the negative pressure chamber 35 of the device 29, is small, opening a valve body 38, and fuel is complementarily fed through an intake pipe 20, increasing air-fuel ratio to improve a starting property. In decelerating operation, a large negative-pressure force in the crankcase 15 acts on the diaphragm 34, opening a pressure regulating valve 45 and, with the valve body 38 in an open condition, fuel is complementarily fed into the crankcase 15 through the pipe 20, thereby, improving a stall resisting property.

    • PURPOSE:To restrict output torque and prevent knocking from taking place by making exhaust pressures in exhaust passages interfere with each other, in an exhaust device in which exhaust passages for a first cylinder group and a second cylinder group are independently provided and confluent in the lower course. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders 1, 3, 5 of an engine 10 is defined as a first cylinder group 12R while cylinders 2, 4, 6 are defined as a second cylinder group 12L. Exhaust passages 15R, 15L for each of the cylinder groups are independently provided, and confluent at a confluence 16 in the lower course. The firing order for each of the cylinders is set in such a way that when the exhaust passage for the first cylinder group is under a negative pressure, the exhaust passage for the second cylinder group is under a positive pressure. The confluence is set in a position where the positive pressure and the negative pressure in each of the exhaust passages 15R, 15L are balanced. Thereby, when one exhaust passage is under a negative pressure, the other exhaust passage is under a positive pressure, effecting reduction in said negative pressure, to lower exhaust efficiency and restrict output torque.
