    • PURPOSE: To improve the gas ventilation and the liquid penetration in a blast furnace and to stabilize the furnace condition by forming a packing zone of high strength bulky material in the furnace core part of the blast furnace, in a method for producing pig iron by charging coke and ore, etc., from the furnace top. CONSTITUTION: The packing zone of the high strength bulky material 6 is formed at the furnace core part 7 constituted with so called furnace core coke layer existing at the lower part of a tuyere level 8 and below soft fused zone of the ore, etc., in the blast furnace 1. The high strength bulky material 6 is intermittently charged (supplementarily charged) from the furnace top only at the time of forming no packing zone at the furnace core part. The high strength bulky material 6 is a material hardly reacting with the pig iron and slag, because this material is remarkably stronger than the ordinary blast furnace coke in the high temp. reaction powdering, friction powdering and collapse powdering in the blast furnace. By this method, a low grade solid reduction agent such as char coal can be used, so that the consumption of a good quality coke is drastically reduced, and further, the blowing of the pulverized fine coal in a rate of >=200kg/ton of pig can be executed.

    • PURPOSE:To form fine grain raw material layer at both edge part to width direction of a pallet with the same grain distribution and to produce sintered ore from raw material at high yield by arranging a movable chute near tip of shifting type shuttle conveyor on an ore supplying hopper for supplying powdery raw material on the pallet for sintering ore. CONSTITUTION:In sintered ore producing apparatus for raw material for blast furnace, the fine grain raw material is piled at both edge part of the width direction of the pallet and uniform sinter is executed to the width direction of the pallet to produce the sintered ore at good yield to the raw material. In this case, at the time of forming the raw material layer 3 by dropping the raw material 6 while shifting the shuttle conveyor 1 into the ore supplying hopper 2 on the pallet, when the tip part of the shuttle conveyor 1 retreats toward 4a direction, the raw material 6 dropped from end of the conveyor 1 is piled into the inner wall face of the ore supplying hopper 2 by shifting the movable chute 5. The same fine grain layers are formed at both edge part to the width direction in the hopper 2 and also the raw material having the same grain distribution is formed on the pallet and holds uniform ventilating property to width direction of the pallet and is uniformly sintered, and the sintered ore is produced at good yield to the raw material.

    • PURPOSE:To properly and surely maintain the furnace pressure in an ignition furnace and also to reduce the unit requirements of fuel in the ignition furnace, by regulating a damper provided in a wind leg so that pressure in a wind box right under the ignition furnace is adjusted to the prescribed pressure. CONSTITUTION:A raw material 14 placed on a moving pallet 26 is ignited by means of the ignition furnace 32 provided above the pallet 26 and then is subjected to suction of air by a exhauster 36 via a wind box 34 and a wind leg 38 provided right under the pallet 26, by which fuel in the above raw material 14 is burnt to produce a sintered ore. In a Dwight Lloyd sintering machine having above-mentioned constitution, the furnace pressure in the above ignition furnace 32 is detected with a pressure detector 50, and the pressure in the above wind box 34 is set up by means of a control device 52 so that above-mentioned detected value of the furnace 32 pressure is adjusted to the desired pressure. Based on the above set value, the opening of the damper 46 in the above wind leg 38 is controlled by means of a control device 56 so that observed value of the pressure in the wind box 34 detected by a pressure detector 54 is regulated to about -100--500mmH2O. In this way, the furnace pressure of the ignition furnace 32 can be maintained at a value in the range of -0.1-0.5mmH2O.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the variation of the yield of product and to improve productivity by continuously measuring the concn. of dust generated when sintered ore is primarily crushed, and adjusting the mixing ratio of coke based on the variations in the concn. CONSTITUTION:The raw material and coke are delivered from a raw material hopper 1, and introduced into a feed hopper through a mixer 2 as the mixed raw material 3. The mixed raw material 3 is discharged by a drum feeder 5, supplied onto a pallet through a sloping chute 6, and sintered. The sintered ore thus obtained is primarily crushed by a crusher 9, and delivered. The concn. of dust generated in this case in an exhaust ore hood 11 is continuously measured by a continuous dust densitometer 10. The mixing ratio of coke is optimized based on the variations in the concn. In addition, the speed of the pallet is adjusted, as required, to prevent the generation of unburnt coke and ore. By this method, an increase in the return ore ratio is controlled, and the variation of the yield is obviated.

    • PURPOSE:To enable measurement over a wide range and to enable easy maintenance without being affected by differences in sintering raw materials by disposing noise meters at the two points in the progressing direction on the side face of a sintering machine or the noise meters and anemometers at the same points. CONSTITUTION:The noise meters 19, 20 are set at the two points A, B in the progressing direction of the sintering machine and are recorded on a recorder 23 by a computer 22. A noise peak value (a) is, thereupon, observed by a sensor 19 at a measurement point A. The pallet travels further and arrives at the measurement point B after the t1 time where the noise peak value (b) is observed by a sensor 20. Decision is made that the pallet has wind leakage if this peak value is 1.2b>a>0.8b. Caution is needed for the pallet if said value is off said range. The value is rechecked after one turn in such a case. Decision is made that the pallet is not defective and that a slide bed 11 at the point a is worn and deteriorated, if the same phenomenon is resulted. The wind leaking point around the pallet is, therefore, recorded automatically in an early time and the decrease in the yield and the electric power consumption per unit of an exhaust gas blower are maintained at a low level.
