摘要： PURPOSE:To enable detection of defective bottle regardless of the volume thereof by deciding pass/fail of bottle based on the peak and bottom amplitudes subsequent to a maximum amplitude in damped oscillation of a pressure signal produced by applying air into the glass bottle. CONSTITUTION:An air pulse is generated from an air pulse generator 11 in synchronism with input of a start signal ST from a controller 10 and applied to a glass bottle 12. A pressure sensor 16 converts variation of air pressure in the bottle 12, being transmitted through a return pipe 15, into a pressure signal PS which is then delivered to a pressure measuring unit 17. The pressure measuring unit 17 measures a maximum value P1 in the pressure waveform based on the pressure signal PS and a pressure signal P2 at the first subsequent bottom part and delivers them to a pass/fail decision circuit 18. The circuit 18 receives the signals P1, P2 and calculates a ratio PD=P2/P1 which is subsequently compared with a reference signal RS delivered from the controller 10. If PD =RS), a decision signal BS (or GS) of pass (or fail) is delivered to a host controller.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for accurately detecting a defect of external view, e.g. a foreign matter in the thickness of a transparent glass container, a glass fragment adhering to the inner surface thereof or a burn produced on the outer surface at the time of molding. SOLUTION: This visual inspection apparatus comprises means 3 for turning a glass container 2 about the axis thereof, means 10 for projecting a parallel stripe light into the thickness of the glass container 2 and to the inner surface side thereof, an image pickup means 9 disposed substantially perpendicularly to the parallel light, and means for detecting the size of continuos bright points in an image picked up by the image pickup means 9 and comparing the detected size with a preset threshold value thus determining a defect. The visual inspection apparatus further comprises a trapezoidal prism 14 interposed between the transparent glass container 2 to be inspected and the image pickup means 9, and a system for measuring the thickness of the transparent glass container 2 to be inspected and varying the threshold value for determining the defect of appearance based on the measurement of the thickness.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a method so designed that anode is brought into contact with one side of an electrical insulating material and a specified cathode is brought into contact with the opposite side followed by injecting direct current into the resulting circuit, thereby easily making the rate of jointing constant and preventing the temperature fall of the insulating material through avoiding accidental shortcircuiting. CONSTITUTION:An anode jointing system is composed of (A) an electrical insulating material 1 such as a glass, (B) anode 2 such as a silicon wafer, (C) cathode 3 inert to the alkali salt used, consisting of a porous plate (e.g. a cloth) having such heat resistance as to be higher than the jointing temperature, (D) a liquid electrode feed port 4, and (E) a heater 5. Then, the electrical insulating material 1 is heated to 300-400 deg.C with a relevant heater 9, and when it is heated to a level higher than the melting point of the alkali salt, the alkali salt is heated and melted through the heater 5 and then fed via the feed port 4 onto the surface of the porous plate serving as the cathode 3. A voltage is then applied from a direct current source 8 on both the anode 2 and cathode 3 and the anode is jointed to the insulating material while the porous plate is impregnated with the liquid electrode, thus accomplishing the objective anode jointing.

CONSTITUTION: Light is applied to a transparent bottle 1 with a recessed and projecting pattern 2 on one surface by a surface light source 4 from an extremely short distance. When the recessed and projecting pattern 2 is located on the opposite side of the surface light source 4, light is refracted at the edge part of the recessed and projecting pattern 2 to generate a dark part with a constant pattern. The direction of a bottle is judged by capturing the pattern with the camera 7 and processing it with an image processing circuit.
