摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing relatively dilute sulfuric acid and the recovery of metal values (e.g., copper and novel metals) from a sulfur-containing material through pressure leaching technique. SOLUTION: According to the various aspects of a high-temperature pressure leaching, the sulfur-containing material may contain residues from pressure leaching (e.g., an operation conducted at a moderate temperature). By advantageously using the present process, the sulfur-containing material can be converted into sulfuric acid by pressure leaching. The thus formed sulfuric acid can be advantageously used at another mineral treatment operation (e.g., an operation at the site where sulfuric acid is formed).
