    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding system of a roof, superior in workability, by also improving the restraining effect of a temperature rise, while using the heat radiating action by heat of vaporization.
SOLUTION: This heat shielding system has a water sprinkling means including a sprinkler 12 for sprinkling water on a water retentive material, by arranging the sheet-like water retentive material 4 on a folded-plate roof material 2 while forming a ventilation layer W. The water retentive material is integrally constituted of a joining means for joining these sheet materials so as to be water communicable and ventilable, by superposing a light shielding and water permeable water retentive sheet material 6 and a flame resistant and water impermeable sheet material 7 lower in water permeability than the water retentive sheet material. A ventilation hole 9 communicating with the ventilation layer is formed in the water retentive material. The water retentive material is detachably installed on the folded-plate roof material via an installation member 3. A heat reflecting paint layer 14 is formed in the water retentive sheet material.
