    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe for forming a pipe roof, which is sequentially propelled into ground in advance of an underground structure when the underground structure is propelled and buried into the ground, and which enables the underground structure to be propelled and buried, while preventing the collapse of upper ground and the like, by stabilizing the face ground ahead of the pipe.
      SOLUTION: An inner pipe 1b, the front end of which is fixed to a cutter head 4 and the inner and the outer peripheral surfaces of which are integrally provided with spiral blades 2 and 3, is rotatably arranged in each of a plurality of pipe bodies 1a which constitute the pipe roof P. A front end opening of the inner pipe 1b is provided with a shutter 5 which is expanded/contracted like an umbrella. The front end openings of all the pipes 1 except the pipe to be jacked are put into the state of being closed with the shutter 5. Thus, the face ground is held for stabilization, and only the shutter 5 of the pipe 1 to be propelled is expanded/contracted so that the pipe 1 can be propelled in the state of having the front end opening of the pipe body 1a of the pipe 1 fully opened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently jack a pipe roof, which is composed of a pipe row and serves as a guide during the jacking of an underground structure, in advance of the underground structure, when the underground structure is jacked and buried into ground under a track in such a manner as to cross the track, so that an underpass can be constructed.
      SOLUTION: The rear of the pipe roof 2 is supported movably forward on the front of a cutting edge 3, attached to the front edge opening of the underground structure 1. In the pipe roof 2, a plurality of pipes 2a, where a friction cut plate 5 is placed on their top surfaces, are juxtaposed. A traverse truck 7, which is arranged on the rear of the cutting edge 3, is moved to the rear section of the pipe 2a to be jacked. After that, a forward/rearward movable carriage 9, arranged on the traverse truck 7, is moved forward. Thus, a rotary drive motor 8a, installed on the forward/rearward movable carriage 9, is connected to a screw auger 4 in the pipe 2a, and the pipe 2a is jacked while the forward ground is excavated.
