    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To radiate an electromagnetic wave into soil with good transmittance by composing a substrate by a dielectric where a relative dielectric constant is increased from the inside toward the outside in the thickness direction of a drill head. SOLUTION: An inclined surface 10 at a tip part 9 of a drill head 5 is formed by a substrate 15 consisting of a flat dielectric. In the tip part 9, the substrate 15 is provided. More specifically, a transmission antenna 16a and a reception antenna 16b are provided while facing the inclined surface 10. The antennas 16a and 16b are connected to an electric circuit 17 in the drill head 5. The electric circuit 17 is connected to other electric circuits being provided on the ground surface, thus improving the transmittance of an electromagnetic wave that enters from the dielectric to soil and the electromagnetic wave that is a reflection wave with the opposite direction since the substrate where the antenna body of the transmission and reception antennas are provided consists of the dielectric where a relative dielectric constant is increased from the inside toward the outside in the thickness direction of a drill head, and hence accurately detecting an object being buried under the ground.

    • PURPOSE:To precisely detect the position of the joint of a buried pipe from above the ground.
