    • PURPOSE: To miniaturize a device and improve reliability at the time of power stoppage by providing a charger which charges a secondary battery through rectifying current of a commercial AC power source, and supplying power from the secondary battery to a motor through a variable voltage/variable frequency inverter. CONSTITUTION: Three-phase ac current from a three-phase commercial AC power source 11 is supplied to a line 15 through a braker 12, a line 13, and a switch 14. It is subjected to rectifying by means of a charger 17 through a braker 16, for float-charging a secondary battery 18. At the time of power stoppage, a common contact 25 of the switch 14 is conducted to an independent contact 24. When an operator sets ON an operation switch 1R, a coil 1RL is energized, and a starting switch MC1R is conducted. A timer 29 senses a conduction state of the switch MC1R. After a specified time passes, a trigger signal is supplied to an inverter 21. Voltage and frequency are highered, and kept constant afterward. A valve body of an electrically driven valve 1 is driven in a closing direction by means of an induction motor M1.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the automatic detection of the correct net coking time in a coke oven by detecting the start of coal charge and the termination of the coking period from information on the temperature of carbonization gas and calculating the net coking time from these results. CONSTITUTION:A lid 6 capable of undergoing an angular displacement around a horizontal axis by means of a hinge 7 is provided on the upper end 5 of a vertical duct 4 made of a refractory, installed on the top 3 of a carbonization chamber 1. A dry main 12 is connected to the side wall at the upper part of the vertical duct 4 through a connecting tube 9, a curved tube 10, and a connecting tube 11. A valve 13 having both a valve body 14 capable of undergoing an angular displacement around an axis 14 and an operating rod 16 is provided in the lower part of the tube 10, and a nozzle 17 is provided on the radially outward peripheral wall of the tube 10. A thermocouple 18 is buried in the refractory of the vertical duct 4 to detect a peak temperature at the last stage of carbonization. The net coking time is then obtained by an arithmetic operation.
