    • PURPOSE:To detect a recording paper and a recording paper holder accurately with one photo sensor, by detecting intermittent emission of a light emitting element and a reflected light synchronizing therewith to remove effects of photo noises. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, received reflected lights R1 and R2 reaching a photo sensor 6 are detected with a photo sensor 6 separately in the presence of an emission I from a light emitting element 5 and the absence thereof as controlled by a controller 8 and the level of the received reflected lights R1 and R2 being detected are recorded 7. Thereafter, a difference is determined between both reflected lights R1 and R2 by subtraction. Then, when the difference D is below a fixed small value, it is determined that a recording paper holder 2 is not mounted, but instead as located at a recording paper loading/unloading position P2. When the difference D is above a fixed large value, the holder 2 has been mounted already, being located at a recording operation position P1. When the difference D is at an intermediate level, above the fixed small value but below the fixed large value, it is determined that the holder 2 is mounted at right position, i.e. at the position P1 but the recording paper 1 is not located at the position P1.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a device for precisely measuring the weight of a grown crystal body lifted by a wire. CONSTITUTION: This device has a rope 4 such as wire on end of which is connected to a crystal body 3 grown by lifting from fused solution; a rope winding means 5 having a rope winding drum 6 and a driving means 7 for drum drive; and a weight sensor 9 for measuring the magnitude of gravity acting on the rope winding means 5, and the sum of weights of the rope 4 and the rope winding means 5 is subtracted from time measured value of the weight sensor 9, whereby the weight of the crystal body 3 is measured. The rope winding means 5 preferably has a support base 20 for holding the drum 6 and the driving means 7, and the support base 10 is supported from down by the weight sensor 9. Further, a mount base 13 having a sensor mounting surface 14 opposed to the lower surface 11 of the support base 10 and a through-hole 15 for raising and lowering the suspended part of the rope 4 is provided, so that the weight sensor 9 on the mounting surface 14 can be opposed to the lower surface 11 of the support base 10 while the suspended part of the rope 4 is positioned to the center of the through-hole 15.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive downsizing while keeping high linearity in the displacement detection characteristics with small errors by forming a curved conductor and the like obtusely connecting the connection part of an inclined straight conductor and a parallel connection conductor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of inclined straight conductors 41b, 42b, 43b are connected in series by the use of parallel conductors 41a, 41c, 41d, 42a, 42c, 42d, 43a, 43c, 43d so as to become an inclined conductor 40 over the whole displacement detection span area. First curved conductors 42T, 43T making obtuse connection of connection parts 42P, 43P are provided for the purpose of avoidance of errors caused by the obtuse connection. These conductors 42T, 43T increase the cross area 8 of a displacement detection coil and an inducting magnetic flux 7. But second curved conductors 41S, 42S cross the inducting magnetic flux 7 simultaneously with the conductors 42T, 43T and the high linearity of particular displacement detection characteristics is maintained on an equivalent total inclination part 40 because the conductors 41S, 41S have a shape for reducing an area 8 so that they may offset an increase part of the area 8 caused by the conductors 42T, 43T.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the attainment of very excellent and easy-to-see printing of a recorder, by a method wherein a printing head is moved to a decided position and printing data are printed in the direction of feeding of recording paper when a speed of feeding of the recording paper is higher than a reference speed. CONSTITUTION:CPU 4 stores printing data in RAM 5 and monitors a chart feeding speed of a motor 12 for feeding a chart. When it judges a chart feeding speed V1 to be lower than a reference speed Vs, the CPU 4 scans a printing head in the direction of a chart width, reads the printing data stored in the RAM 5 and prints same on a chart 13. When the speed V1 exceeds the speed Vs, the printing head is moved to a decided position, and the printing data are printed in the direction of feeding of the chart in accordance with the feeding of the chart 13. Thereby the attainment of very excellent and easy-to-see printing of a recorder is enabled.
