摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily discriminate the propriety of the joined double welds of water-proof sheets having an inspection hole in between and instantaneously discover defective spots from the welds in order to improve the quality of the junction between the sheets. SOLUTION: In a method of inspecting junction of water-proof sheet, the junction between the water-proof sheets 1 joined to each other at their welds 3 which are paired to each other through the inspection hole 2 in a double weld structure is inspected. In the method, the junction between the water-proof sheets 1 is inspected by injecting compressed air mixed with white fine powder into the inspection hole 2 through an injection needle 10 after the sheets 1 are welded to each other with the inspection hole 2 in between and discriminating the presence/absence of defective spots in the welds 3 on both sides of the hole 2 by checking the presence/absence of the leakage of white smoke-like compressed air.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily control the laid diameter of a new water-proof sheet used for lining a tunnel by surely and efficiently welding the lapping section of the sheet extended in the peripheral direction of the sheet to the lapping section of an already laid water-proof sheet. SOLUTION: A water-proof sheet joining device is provided with a heat- joining terminal 31 which is inserted between the already laid water-proof sheet 1a and the newly laid water-proof sheet 1b and heats the lapping sections 25 of the sheets 1a and 1b, a pressing roller 32 which presses outward the lapping sections 25 of the sheets 1 heated by means of the terminal 31 in the radial direction, and a water-proof sheet receiving frame 6 which is arranged along the inner periphery of a tail frame 4 and covers the cylindrically laid sheets 1 from their outer peripheral sides. The joining device is also provided with a peripheral direction moving means 34 which moves a welding device 33 provided with the heat-joining terminal 31 and pressing roller 32 in the peripheral direction of a tunnel boring machine 34 and a radial direction moving means 5 which moves the welding device 33 in the radial direction of the machine 3.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and smoothly weld the lapping section at the end of a new water- proof sheet which is used to line a segment of a tunnel in the tail plate of a tunnel boring machine to the corresponding lapping section of an already laid water-proof sheet in one body by means of a welding device at the time of laying the new sheet in a cylindrical shape. SOLUTION: After a heat insulating layer 4A is fitted to the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical steel-made receiving frame 4 provided along the inner peripheral surface of the tail plate 2, a newly laid cylindrical water-proof sheet 5A is formed by lining the segment with the new belt-like water-proof sheet 5 so that the rear end section of the sheet 5 may lap on the front end section of the already laid water- proof sheet 5B while the sheet 5 is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the frame 4. Then the lapping sections of the sheets 5A and 5B are integrally welded to each other by means of the electrically heated trowel 7A of the welding device 7. At the time of welding the lapping sections to each other, the occurrence of defective welds is eliminated by efficiently and entirely heat-welding the lapping sections to each other so as to prevent the infiltration of groundwater by preventing the heat from the trowel 7A from escaping to the frame 4 side by means of the heat insulating layer 4A.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement preventing device for water-proof sheet receiving frame that can prevent a water-proof sheet receiving frame which is provided in the tail plate of a tunnel boring machine to line the segment of a tunnel with a water-proof sheet in a cylindrical shape from tilting and coming into contact with the tail plate or a tail seal fitting from breaking the water-proof sheet. SOLUTION: Water-proof sheet protective projecting members having higher heights than the tail seal fitting are fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the tail plate at prescribed intervals in the peripheral direction and, at the same time, receiving frame displacement controlling projecting members are fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the water-proof sheet receiving frame at prescribed intervals in the peripheral direction in a state where the members are shifted from the water-proof sheet protective projecting members in the peripheral direction. Consequently, when the receiving frame is inclined from the axial center of the tail plate at the time of laying or welding the water-proof sheet, the frame is prevented from directly coming into contact with the tail plate by means of the receiving frame displacement controlling projecting members and, at the same time, the tail seal fitting is prevented from sliding on the water-proof sheet lining the segment and breaking the sheet by means of the water-proof sheet protective projecting members.
