    • PURPOSE:To prevent light from being incident on the reverse surface of a photodetecting element and obtain a high-precision device which is easily manufactured by providing a means which converges luminous flux in a path through which light from a light emitting element travels to a pressure reception surface (reflecting surface). CONSTITUTION:The pressure sensor consists of a lens substrate 1 and a substrate 8 by forming the reflecting surface by vapor-depositing aluminum, etc., on a polyester film as the pressure reception surface 1 over one side, and providing a flexible layer 2 of light-transmittable silicone rubber, etc., and then a glass substrate 4. The light emitting element 7 is provided to the substrate 8 and a lens 10, etc., are provided to the substrate 11 so that light travels while converged. The light from the light emitting element 7 is converged by the lens 10 on a focus O and incident on a photodetecting element 3 through the pressure reception surface 10. At this time, even if pressure P is applied to the pressure reception surface 1 and the flexible layer 2 varies in thickness, the light travels from the focus O, so the light is incident on only the surface of the photodetecting element 3 and never strikes the reverse surface. Thus, the luminous flux means is provided, so reflected light incident on the reverse surface of the photodetecting element is prevented and the pressure is detected with high precision.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent input of light from the back surface of a sensor and to improve the measuring accuracy of the pressure sensor utilizing light and the freedom of its structure, by forming a light receiving element and a light shielding layer on the same surface of a substrate for mounting light receiving element so as to hold a thin, light transmitting insulator in-between. CONSTITUTION:Chromium or Nichrome is evaporated on the side of a light receiving element 40a to be formed on the upper surface of a substrate 50 by a vacuum evaporation method, and a light shielding layer 30 is formed. An insulating layer 100 having light transmitting property is formed on the layer 30 using the oxide of silicon or aluminum by a sputtering method and the like, so that the light receiving element 40a is electrically shielded. The light receiving element 40a is formed by the sputtering method and the like. The thickness of the insulating layer is sufficiently thin in comparison with the thickness of a glass substrate 50. Therefore, it is approximately equivalent to the state the light shielding layer 30 is located directly beneath the light receiving element 40a. There is almost no input of light from the low surface of the light receiving element. Therefore the pressure sensitive accuracy and the freedom in structure can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the density and accuracy of the distribution of pressure, which is applied in a planar state, by concentrically dividing one light receiving element corresponding to one light emitting element into two parts with a light axis as a center, and using the difference in electric signals of the light outputs from the divided light receiving elements as the detected signal. CONSTITUTION:When pressure is not applied on a pressure receiving plane 1, light from a light emitting element 7 becomes luminous flux 11 by a light transmitting window 5 and reflected by a circular part 10a of the light reflecting surface of the back side of a pressure receiving plane 1a. The light reaches a circular part 12a on a surface, on which light receiving elements 9a and 9b are aligned. When the pressure receiving plane 1 receives the maximum pressure, a flexible part 2 is deformed down to the position 1b. As this time, the luminous flux 11 is reflected by a circular part 10b of a reflecting film 1b and reaches a circular part 12b of the light receiving surface. The sensor outputs (a) of the light receiving elements 9a and 9b are shown by curves A and B, respectively, and the difference is shown by a curve C. By using the difference, the change in sensor outputs with respect to the pressure change, i.e., sensitivity, can be made large, and the measuring density and accuracy are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To display information only when the information is required so as to secure the safety of car drive by detecting the operation of a direction indicator and displaying only the information regarding the obstacle in the driving direction. CONSTITUTION:A sensor section 11 is composed of sensors SS1 and SS2 which detect obstacles on both right and left sides of a vehicle and sensors CS1 and CS2 which detect obstacles behind the car on both sides. The detect output outputted from the sensor section 11 is supplied to an obstacle detecting section 13. The detecting section 13 constituting a calculating means together with a degree-of-danger calculating section 14 calculates presence/absence, scale, distance, etc., of an obstacle from the detect output of the sensor section 11 and outputs the calculated results to the calculating section 14. On the other hand, a sensor 15 detects the operation of the direction indicator of the vehicle and supplies the detected results to the calculating section 14. The section 14 calculates the degree of danger from the output of the detecting section 13 and a degree-of-danger displaying section 16 which works as a displaying means makes a display corresponding to the calculated degree of danger so as to inform the driver of the degree of danger.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a noise, which cannot be eliminated with an ordinary low pass filter, and to remove the cause of a demodulation error by delaying a regenerative signal waveform with a delay circuit, comparing the amplitudes of the waveforms before and after the delaying with a comparing circuit, and selecting the waveform at a smaller amplitude or the larger amplitude with a selecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:After the delay of a fixed time by a delaying circuit 2, a regenerative signal S1 is given to a comparing circuit 3 and a selecting circuit 4 in the form of an output signal S2. The comparing circuit 3 compares the sizes of the amplitudes between the regenerative signal S1 and the output signal S2, and the selecting circuit 4 is controlled based on the comparison result, and the signal at the smaller amplitude or the larger amplitude is outputted out of the regenerative signal S1 and the output signal S2 from the selecting circuit 4 in the form of an output signal S4. Thus, the noise, which cannot be eliminated by the ordinary low pass filter can be eliminated, the cause of the demodulation error can be removed, and reliability is increased.

    • PURPOSE:To make an access control highly accurate by dividing a light beam into a controlling light beam and position detecting light beam by an optical path converting means and making the controlling light beam incident on a position detector. CONSTITUTION:The light beam 101 emitted from an optical system 100 is reflected at about right angles upwards as a controlling light beam 101a by one part of the reflection face 403a of a mirror 403 and reflected as well as about right angles downwards as the light beam 101b for position detection by the reflection face 403b of the other part. This position detecting light beam 101b arrives at a position detector 6 by passing the hole 401a of a supporting base 401 and the current position of an objective lens 406 is detected by a position detection circuit. In the access control, a current is passed to the coils 501a, 501b for tracking by a control circuit based on the difference in a designated objective lens position and a detected current position, an electromagnetic force is generated by the action of this current and the magnetic field inside magnetic gaps 203a, 203b, the objective lens 406 is moved in the radial direction of an optical disk 700 together with the mirror 403 and the access operation is executed. The access control is thus executed with high accuracy.
