    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitoring device and an image monitoring method, which reduce processing costs for detecting an intrusion object from video data, and monitor a video image efficiently as the entire device by preventing a moving body from being detected erroneously by the erroneous report of a sensor.
      SOLUTION: The image monitoring device includes: a moving image camera installed for photographing a specified place; a sensor means for detecting a change in the situation of the specified place; a display means for displaying the video image corresponding to the output video signal of the camera; and a moving body detection means for performing moving body detection processing for detecting the existence of the moving body in a photography video according to the output video signal of the camera, when a change in the situation of the specified place is detected by the sensor means.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the summary of a moving image sequence while being reflected with contents by calculating evaluated values indicating the fluctuation conditions of respective images in respective scenes, and time sequentially displaying the prescribed number of scenes in order from the maximum value. SOLUTION: Based on image data for the unit of a frame stored in an image data storage part 11, a scene deciding part 13 decides an area which can be regarded as the scene in the moving image sequence. Next, concerning the respective decided scenes, a scene evaluation value calculation part at a display data preparing part 17 calculates the evaluation values indicating the fluctuation conditions of images inside these scenes and outputs these evaluation values in order from the maximum value while selecting scene numbers. A display data storage part 19 stores summary display data from a display data output part and a display part 21 time sequentially displays these data corresponding to a synchronizing signal. Thus, the scene having the most fluctuation of images in the scenes contained in the moving image sequence is defined as summary display data.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a video camera driving device which is capable of automatically tracking an object without requiring a thermally-sensitive sensor such as an infrared ray camera, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a part of video (for instance, a part of the face of a speaker) displayed on a speaker display monitor 5 is desigated as a noted area, the motion vector of this area is calculated as an area specific vector and area specific vector information S14 showing this vector is supplied to a control angle arithmetic part 15. Thus, the area specific vector information S14 is converted into angle vector information S15 showing the angles in the horizontal direction and vertical direction of a camera fixing base. Next, a camera fixing base driving part 3 changes the angles in the horizontal direction and vertical direction of the camera fixing base in accordance with each angle vector information S15. As a result, the angle of a video camera 4 is controlled by following up the motion of the speaker and the video of the speaker is displayed at the center of the monitor 5.
