摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange wherein local area network-(LAN) and a private branch of exchange are integrated. SOLUTION: Telephone sets 11 of a private branch exchange, a trunk 12 of a telephone network relay line, data terminals 13, 14, and Internet protocol telephone sets 15, 16 are connected to an exchange 10 by transmission lines 101-106, and the data terminal 14 and the Internet protocol telephone set 15 are connected to the same line. A speech of each telephone set 11 is sent by mutual conversion between a voice signal and a signal processing protocol and a medium access control(MAC) frame by a subscriber circuit 17. The trunk 12 and the Internet protocol telephone sets 15, 16 send information in the form of the MAC frame. MAC circuits 181-186 that assemble/disassemble the MAC frame are connected to ports of a LAN switch 18 for switching the MAC frame and the switch 18 is connected to the transmission lines 101-106 via the MAC circuits 181-186.

摘要： PURPOSE:To quickly inform a sender side whether or not a cell is normally received by a receiver side when a packet is divided into cells of a fixed length and the cells are sent/received. CONSTITUTION:When a packet of a variable length divided into plural cells of fixed length are sent from a node 00 to a node N0, each fixed length cell is sent to the node N0 via a bus controller 0, an ATM cell 104 and a bus controller N. In this case, the bus controller N detects and stores a final cell. The node N0 uses hard control to generate reception reply data representing whether or not the reception is conducted for each cell normally and returns the data to the bus controller N. Thus, the bus controller N generates the reply cell by hardware control and returns the data to the node 00 via the ATM switch 104 and the bus controller 0. As a result, the node 00 grasps the reception state quickly.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve a sense of incongruity when a sound is heard as a voice by compressing the addition result of an addend and an augend to a maximum encoding value by a code converting circuit and outputting it when the addition result exceeds an upper-limit value, and outputting the addition result as it is when not. CONSTITUTION:This system is equipped with a full-adder 1 for encoded binary numbers, an upper-limit detecting circuit 3 which is set below the maximum value of codes, and the code converting circuit 2 which compresses values from the upper-limit value to a maximum addition value to values from the upper limit value to the maximum code value. When the addition result of this full-adder 1 is larger than the upper-limit value, the output of the code converting circuit 2 is selected and when not, the addition result of the addend (a) and augend (b) of the full-adder 1 is selected and outputted. Namely, when the addition result exceeds the upper-limit value, the addition result is compressed to a value up to the maximum code value by the code converting circuit and outputted, but when not, the addition result of the full-adder 1 is outputted as it is. Consequently, values before and after the upper-limit value is exceeded are connected smoothly, so the sense of incongruity when the sound is heard as a voice is improved.
