    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently separate/remove various toxic substances beginning with oil from contaminated soil.
SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for separating/removing toxic substances is composed of: an airtight housing body 3 in which oil-contaminated soil 2 containing oil is housed; an exhaust pipe 4 communicated with the airtight space in the housing body; a vacuum pump 6 connected to the exhaust pipe while interposing a gas-liquid separation tank 5 between them; and a collection instrument 7 connected to the downstream side of the vacuum pump. The pressure in the housing body is reduced by withdrawing a gas in the housing body 3 through the exhaust pipe 4 so that the oil in the oil-contaminated soil 2 is volatilized by means of a boiling-point descent effect caused by the pressure reduction in the housing body 3 and the volatilized oil is discharged to the outside of the housing body 3.

    • PURPOSE: To omit the waste and overlapping of facilities and materials while obtaining a homogeneous solidified wall by sucking muddy water previously filled into an excavated ditch and supplying the inside of the excavated ditch with muddy water while muddy water is mixed continuously with a hardener. CONSTITUTION: In a method, in which a muddy-water solidified wall is built by filling the inside of an excavated ditch 1 with the mixture 2a of muddy water and a hardener and curing the mixture 2a, an injection nozzle 14 projected and arranged into a suction chamber 12 for a jet pump 6 is supplied with the hardener through a high-pressure grouting pump 4. The other end side of a suction pipe 7, in which one end is connected to the suction chamber 12, is dipped in the surface layer side in the excavated ditch 1, and the other end side of a discharge pipe 8, in which one end is bonded at the discharging end of the jet pump 6, is dipped in a deep layer section in the excavated ditch 1. The inside of the suction chamber 12 is brought to negative pressure by ejection from the nozzle 14 of the hardener, and muddy water 2 previously filled into the excavated ditch 1 is evacuated into the suction chamber 12 through the suction pipe 7 by negative pressure, and the deep layer side of the excavated ditch 1 is fed with muddy water through the discharge pipe 8 while muddy water is mixed with the hardener.

    • PURPOSE:To improve execution performance and faculty by winding a hard passing water mat on the outer periphery of a pipe body having a number of underground water flow inlets which are drilled on the outer peripheral surface and inserting the mat into the deep well. CONSTITUTION:As for a hard passing water mat 15 which is wound on the outer periphery of a pipe body 13, a rigid wire member 14 made of the high polymeric material is confounded in a three-dimensional form, and covered by a screen-shaped sheet. A strainer pipe 10 which possesses the filter function is arranged in a deep wall 11 by the work for only inserting the strainer pipe 10 for the drainage for a deep well is arranged in the deep well 11. Since the mat 15 is firmly fixed previously on the pipe 13, the mat 15 is prevented from being cut during the insertion work. Since the insertion work is executed speedily after formation of the deep well, the work completes before the wall surface of the deep well 11 approaches the center side. Further, the mat 15 maintains the gap between the wall surface of the deep well 11 and the pipe 13, ad prevents the destruction of the wall surface. Accordingly, the necessity of the supply of the filter material is obviated, and drainage can be carried out efficiently.

    • PURPOSE:To make side pressure supportable efficiently in a stable manner by extending a soil improver in crossing with a load direction of the side pressure as in formation, while installing both front and rear antibodies along both front and rear side ends in the side pressure load direction of this soil improver, and connecting both these front and rear antibodies with a tensioner. CONSTITUTION:A lot of soil improving piles are driven in the reclaim area of a soil improver 11 in all directions, thereby creating this soil improver 11. Next, a mounting ditch is digged in both horizontal and vertical directions of this soil improver 11. In succession, each of both front and rear antibodies 12 and 13 is inserted into both ends of this mounting ditch. In addition, a tension member 14 is set up in a longitudinal ditch hole lying between the front antibody 12 and the rear antibody 13. When those of front and rear antibodies 12, 13 and a tension member 14 are set up, bentonite slurry is filled up in the mounting ditch, maintaining the stability of a wall surface. In addition, when setup operations of these elements are over, cement milk is poured thereinto from a bottom part of the mounting ditch, replacing it with this bentonite slurry into solidification, whereby the soil improver 11, both front and rear antibodies 12, 13 and the tension member 14 are all unified as one body.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the amount of soil with good accuracy by calculating the sectional area through image processing of a picked-up outline, multiplying said sectional area by a speed thereby to obtain the volume per unit time, and sequentially aggregating the volumes. CONSTITUTION:A video sensor 6 obtains monochromatic binary signals through an image processing function on the basis of an outline of soil and sands picked up by a video camera 2. The video sensor 6 determines an area occupied by a window W determined by a CRT display 7 as the position of the section where the soil and sands are optically cut. The video sensor 6 outputs the shadowed area in a fan shape as the monochromatic area with the area of the shielding plate 3 and a conveyor 1 removed. The processed signal from the video sensor 6 is, together with vertical and horizontal synchronizing signals, displayed on the display 7. At the same time, dots are counted by a counter 8, which is then input to a computer 9. The computer 9 takes in an output signal of a speed sensor 5, and operates total volume of soil based on the speed signal and the count of dots. The result is displayed on the display 7 and recorded by a printer 10.
