    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lash adjuster capable of keeping different fluids from mixing together if the different fluids are used at both ends of a seal structure, and a seal structure of a sliding section.
      SOLUTION: The lash adjuster 100 includes a first seal member 5 wherein the cross-sectional shapes of a first body 1 and a plunger 2 parallel to a sliding direction are symmetrical with respect to an axis perpendicular to the sliding direction, and a second seal member 20 wherein the cross-sectional shapes of the first body 1 and the plunger 2 parallel to the sliding direction are asymmetrical with respect to the axis perpendicular to the sliding direction, whereby the lash adjuster 100 can appropriately prevent the sealed oil of the lash adjuster 100 from flowing out, and outside oil from flowing into the lash adjuster 100. Thus when different fluids are used at both ends of the seal structure, the mixing of both fluids can be prevented.

      SOLUTION: This phase changing device of the engine has a drive rotor, an intermediate rotor and a control rotor, arranged on a same axis around which the same can turn relatively, and the changes phase angle of the drive rotor and the intermediate rotor by controlling the control rotor. The device is provided with: a curved first guide groove on the control rotor inclined from a circumference having a center on a turning axis; an inclined guide groove on the intermediate rotor inclined to a radial direction; and a curved second guide groove on the drive rotor inclined from a circumference, having a center on the turning axis, and is provided with a phase conversion member comprising a longitudinal block part displacing the engaging first guide groove, a first slide member engaging with the inclined guide groove, and a second slide member inserted through a clearance groove of the intermediate rotor and engaging with the second guide groove.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain air gap between an electromagnetic clutch and a magnet in a fixed range even if a camshaft vibrates in a radial direction thereof. SOLUTION: A bearing 26 and a stopper 51 are installed on a stepped part 20c of an inner tube part 20. The bearing 26 is supported by a C-ring 28 inserted in a groove 44c of a rotary drum 44. A bearing 52 is installed on a stepped part 51a formed on an outer circumference side of the stopper 51. An inside wall 122c of the electromagnetic clutch 42 is supported by the bearing 52. The bearing 52 is retained by a clip 128 installed in an annular groove 127 formed on the inside wall 122c. The rotary drum 44 is supported by the bearing 26 of which movement in an axial direction is regulated. The electromagnetic clutch 42 is supported by the bearing 52 movement of which in an axial direction is regulated.
