    • PURPOSE:To prevent a high voltage from inducing at an output winding side by turning ON a shortcircuiting semiconductor switch during the OFF period of a drive switch, and preventing the output winding side from opening when a current is flowed to the current feedback winding of a current transformer. CONSTITUTION:A main circuit current flowed through a main switching semicon ductor element 1 is flowed as a reverse bias current through a current trans former 4 to the element 1 when the element 1 is turned OFF. The secondary side of the transformer 4 is shortcircuited by a shortcircuiting semiconductor switch 16 until the element 1 is turned OFF.

    • PURPOSE:To almost simultaneously turn on and turn off transistors connected in parallel and, at the same time, to suppress the voltage between the collector and emitter of each trasistor, by connecting diodes to the winding of a current transformer for balacer. CONSTITUTION:Diodes D1 and D2 which limit voltages generated in the primary winding NP and secondary winding NS, both of which have he same number of turns, of a ucrrent transformer T1 for balancer are connected with both ends of the windings NP and NX, respectively. Therefore, voltages induced in the windings NP and NX are suppressed o lower than the forward drop voltages of the diodes D1 and D2. Since these voltages are resepctively supplied top the emitters of transistors (TR) Q1 and Q2 connected in parallel with each other, both the TRs Q1 and Q2 can almost simultaneously be turned on and turned off. In addition, voltages between the collector and emitter of the TRs Q1 and Q2 can be suppressed to lower than the sum voltage of the supply volt age and the forward drop voltages of the diodes D1 and D2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller and simpler drive circuit for a voltage driver element at a lower cost. SOLUTION: The drive circuit comprises a drive transformer having first and second primary windings wound to a core so as to be reversely polarized mutually and a secondary winding, a turn-on drive switch element connected in serial to the first primary winding, a turn-off drive switch element connected between a pair of DC voltage terminals via the second primary winding and a resistor, and a voltage driver element of which the gate and one main terminal are connected between both ends of the secondary winding. The turn-off drive switch element is turned on by a turn-off drive signal, and the voltage driver element is turned off at high speed by applying a reverse bias voltage to the voltage driver element.
