CONSTITUTION:The refrigerant passage 15 made into double construction having a central partition 16 is provided onto the outside periphery of an inside water cooling pipe 10 which is a support pipe, skid pipe, etc. disposed in a heating furnace and further a heat insulating material 12 is applied onto outside periphery thereof. The gaseous fuel, admitted from the passage on the water cooling pipe 10 side is turned backward in the upper part and is passed in the outside passage until the fuel flows to an outlet piping. the heat loss from the furnace inside is transferred through the heat insulating material 12 to the gaseous fuel flowing in the outside passage and further to the gaseous fuel flowing in the inside passage. The heat transfer to the water cooling pipe 10 is, therefore, made substantially nil. The preheating temp. of the gaseous fuel is determined by the heat insulating material 12 and the flow rate of the gaseous fuel.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the coefficient of thermal conductivity of a heat transfer pipe by a method wherein a heat transfer pipe is formed of silicon carbide utilizing lining as aggregate and carbon powder, metallic silicon powder as bonding agent. CONSTITUTION:A cokes oven gas 1 is introduced from a carbonizing chamber 2 to a header pipe 4 through a cokes lifting pipe 3 while heating medium circulates in a heat transfer pipe 7 arranged halfway up the pipe 3 and a heat exchanger 8 externally provided by means of a circulating pump 5 and a circulating pipe 6. The heat transfer pipe 7 is made of a heat transfer jacket 10 circulating the heat transfer medium 9 and a lining material 12 connected to the inner wall of the jacket 10 through the intermediary of silicon carbide mortar 11. The lining material made of silicon carbide, carbon powder and metallic silicon powder may realize high coefficient of thermal conductivity.

    • PURPOSE: To make the bulk density of charged pulverized coal uniform, improve the productivity, and produce coke having high breaking strength, by applying pushing and vibrating force to the leveled top surface of pulverized coal charged into a coking chamber by using a screw-down beam.
      CONSTITUTION: The top surface of pulverized coal charged into the coking chamber of a coke oven forms an uneven surface 5. Thus, the surface is firstly leveled. The main body 8 of a beam and a travelling truck 20 are united by clamp setting. A beam-driving means composed of a driving drum, an endless rope, etc. is operated to make the main body get into or out of the coking chamber along the entire length of the chamber. The main body 8 razes the protruded part of the top surface of the pulverized coal, and at the same time the surface is raked smooth by a partition plate 10, whereby the leveling of the top surface of the pulverized coal is conducted. Then the clamp-setting of the main body 8 and the travelling truck 20 is released. An elevating driver 21 is operated to screw down the main body 8 onto the leveled top surface of the pulverized coal. Simultaneously or after said screw-down, a vibrator 22 provided at the rear part of the main body 8 is operated to pack the pulverized coal under pressure by vibration.

      CONSTITUTION: The vibrating part 18 is lifted up so that the part and the main beam 8 are arranged in a straight line and the beam-driving mechanism is operated so that the main beam 8 goes and comes back over all the length of the chamber to level the rough surface of the dust coal charged in the carbonization chamber of the coke furnace. Then, the lifting-up of the vibrating part is loosened and the bended part presses the leveled surface of the dust coal with its own weight. Further, the air vibrator 23 is operated to apply vibration on the dust coal surface with the vibrating part 18, while the main beam 8 turns back from the carbonization chamber. At this time, the pressure and vibration of the vibration part are selected so that the upper layer and the lower one of the dust coal becomes almost equal in the bulk density.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the drop of temp. considerably in the stage of stacking and storing each plural pieces of hot ingots in a piled state by stacking the hot ingots on movable devices, and storing the ingots hermetically while the stacked piles are held apart from each other at a very slight spacing or in tight contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:Movable carriages 2 to be stacked thereon with hot ingots are installed on rails 1, and each plural pieces of hot ingots are stacked in a piled state on said carriages in lot units (a)-(f) that take order of processing in the next stage into consideration. When the stacking is completed, the carriages 2 are moved to place the piles of the hot ingots apart from each other at a very small spacing in the longitudinal direction or in tight contact with each other and in this state the hot ingots are stored. The exposed surfaces of the hot ingots are thus decreased by about 30%, whereby the areas cooled by heat radiation are decreased and the decrease in the temp. of the hot ingots is suppressed considerably.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent dust pollution and to recover heat effectively, by quenching red-hot coke in a pallet cart which passes through a closed coke wharf provided on the coke discharge side with a quenching gas medium. CONSTITUTION:The red-hot coke 3 is transferred from the coke furnace 1 to the bucket cart 5 to move back and forth between the furnace 1 and the coke wharf 15 via the guide cart 4, and transported to the quenching unit. The coke 3 is charged into the pallet cart 17 and passed through the closed box 16. Quenching gas is blown into the box 16, brought into contact with the red-hot coke, and exchanges heat. The heated N2 gas is led to a boiler to recover the heat. Plural partitions 19 are set zigzag above and below the pallet 18 of the cart 17 in the forward direction, and the quenching gas blown from the pipe 20 is brought into contact with the red-hot coke 3 in the pallet hearth 18, and discharged from the pipe 21, thus quenching the coke efficiently.
