    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a different-diameter tube having plural thin parts with high precision through one drawing operation by running a tube through a split type two-stage die which has a valley part of the same size and in the same shape with a different-diameter thick part and is slidable and a plug having a parallel part and a rear tapered part. CONSTITUTION:When a blank tube 14 is passed through a die hole and a pointing part 15 is gripped by a jaw 12 and pulled to left, the tube 14 and a plug 8 both enter the die hole. When the boundary between plug parallel and tapered parts 19 and 20 come close to the right end of the bearing land 16 of a front die 6 on its right side, the jaw 12 is moved to left after the right end of a plug lever 13 is fixed and the jaw 2 is stopped after a thin part 2 is formed. Then when the jaw is moved to left except a gap leaving member 5, dies 6 and 7 slide on the internal surface of a sand to form a thick part 3. When the dies abut on a stopper 9, the jaw is stopped and the bolt of the die 6 is removed to move the jaw to left, forming a thin part 2' while extruding the die 6.

    • PURPOSE:To form a different-diameter pipe at a uniform reduction ratio and low cost by cold working a partially thick-walled different-diameter pipe stock having a specified inside diameter between split 2-stage dies having a parallel part and valley part and a plug having a parallel part and valley part. CONSTITUTION:The raw pipe 4 having the inside diameter constant in the longitudinal direction and having the thick-walled part 3 in the middle is passed between the slidable dies consisting of the front die 6 and the rear die 7 and the slidable plug 8. The front thin-walled part of the raw pipe 4 is rolled down by the parallel part 17 of the rear die 7 and the front parallel part 19 of the plug 8 to form a front thin-walled part 2. The thick-walled part 3 of the pipe 4 is then rolled down by the parallel part 17 and is packed into the valley part 21 of the plug 8. The dies and plug 8 are slid to pack the thick-walled part 3 into the die valley part 18. The die 6 is split by removing bolts 10 and the rear thin-walled part of the pipe 4 is rolled down by the die parallel part 17 and the plug parallel part 19 to form the rear thin-walled part, by which the different-diameter pipe 1 having the specified inside diameter and the thick wall partially in the middle region is obtd.

    • PURPOSE: To make production of a different-diameter pipe having a longitudinally constant inside diameter or outside diameter and a thick-walled intermediate part with less stages by inserting a blank pipe which is a steel pipe into a die having a parallel part and trough part, putting a plug having parallel parts in the front and rear part and the trough part in the central part into said die and rolling down the blank pipe between said plug and die.
      CONSTITUTION: The blank pipe 14 which is the steel pipe is inserted into the die 7 having the parallel part 17 and the trough part 18 and the mouthed part 15 of the pipe 14 is gripped by a jaw 12. The plug 8 having the front parallel part 19 and the rear parallel part 20 and having the trough part at the intermediate thereof is then inserted into the blank pipe 14. The jaw 12 is then pulled forward to roll down the outside diameter side and the inside diameter side of the pipe 14 by the front parallel part 19 of the plug and the parallel part 17 of the die 7, thereby forming a thin-walled part 2 of the different-diameter pipe. The thick-walled part of the blank pipe is then rolled down by the intermediate trough part of the plug 8 and the parallel part 17 of the die to form a thick-walled part 3 of the different- diameter pipe. The thick-walled part 3 is packed into the trough part 18 of the die, by which the different-diameter pipe having the uniform inside diameter and the large outside diameter in the central part is produced. The different-diameter pipe having the uniform outside diameter and the partially small inside diameter is similarly produced.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a drawbench which allows two front and rear dies to slide in a drawing direction and to be taken out while moving each die in the specific range of a plug having a parallel part and a tapered part, and performs drawing with good size precision through one operation and form plural thick parts. CONSTITUTION:A drawbench for drawing a blank tube 14 into a different- diameter tube 1 consists of a die stand 4, gap leaving member 5, front and rear dies 6 and 7, plug 8, and jaw 12. The two-stage die has a valley part 18 of the same and in the same shape with the thick part 3 of the tube 1 and is held in the stand 4 while held by the member 5 at distance (d) equal to the thick part 3 from a stopper 9. The plug 8 has a parallel part 19 and a rear tapered part 20 and is inserted into a die hold and fixed by a lever 13. The member 5 and die 6 are fixed detachably by bolts 11 and 10, and the die 6 is a separate type. After the tube is moved to left through the jaw 12 to form a thin part 2, the member 5 is removed and the two-stage die is slid to left to form the thick part 3; after the bolt 10 is removed, a rear thin part is formed and the die 6 is extruded.
