    • PURPOSE:To minimize unevenness of the air-fuel ratio in a plurality of cylinders, by controlling the injection timing of fuel injection valves such that the time length from the time when fuel is injected to the time when the suction stroke is started is made uniform. CONSTITUTION:Fuel injection nozzles 500a-500f are provided for respective cylinders, and they are divided into a group #10 (500a, 500d), a group #20 (500b, 500e) and a group #30 (500c, 500f) and connected to a computer 30 electrically. The injection timing of these injection nozzles is so controlled that the time length from the time when fuel is injected to the time when the suction stroke is started is made uniform. By employing such a method, it is enbled to minimize unevenness of the air-fuel ratio in a plurality of cylinders.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the quantity of a fuel distributed to each cylinder from being scattered, by preventing the fuel from flowing around an air gallery, in an air assist system for a fuel injection type internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection nozzle 5 is fixed to an intake pipe 22, and an air assist cap 15 constitutes an air-introducing chamber 20 together with an air orifice 19 in front of a nozzle part 24 of the nozzle 5. The cap 15 is provided with an introducing hole 18, which is communicated to the upstream side 51 of a throttle valve 50 through an assist air passage 17, a passage 23 in a branch pipe 6, a gallery chamber 9 of the air gallery 10 and a hole 8 of an air assist introducing pipe 7. By providing a check valve 11 at a part of the passage 17 and a cylinder blanching part on the nozzle 5 side of the pipe 6, the fuel is prevented from moving to the other cylinder by flowing around the air gallery 10.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain optimum amount of fuel injection in a unit which injects fuel after vaporizing it by air, by determining the open time of a fuel injection valve, according to the air pressure in an air inlet chamber. CONSTITUTION:Correction coefficient Kf is obtained, using the following three: (1) pressure Px in an air inlet chamber 7 into which the air for fuel vaporization is introduced, (2) pressure Py in an auxiliary air inlet chamber, where Py is proportional to Px, and (3) proportional constant K for Px and Py. The open time of a valve body 12 of a fuel injection valve 3 is controlled, using the said coefficient Kf as one of computation factors. Thus, even if the pressure in an air inlet chamber 7 changes, the optimum amount of fuel injection can always be obtained because the open time of the fuel injection valve is determined, taking said change into consideration.

CONSTITUTION:The air at the up-stream of a throttle valve 2 is introduced into an air inlet chamber 7 of a fuel injection chamber 3 through an auxiliary air inlet tube 18. A pressure amplifier 36 detects the pressure Py in the auxiliary air inlet tube 18 and amplifies it by K times. Thus, the pressure nearly equal to pressure Px in the air inlet chamber 7 is introduced into a pressure varying chamber 33 of a pressure regulator 26. As a result, the pressure regulator 26 is able to regulate the fuel pressure, according to pressure Px, keeping the injection pressure of a fuel pressure valve 3 constant regardless of the intensity of pressure Px, so that optimum amount of fuel injection can be obtained.

Thermal expansion difference between the inner pipe 4 in the longitudinal direction of the straight portion 18 and the outer pipe 2 is eliminated by the sliding portion 26 on the downstream end of the bent portion 20 of the inner pipe 4 including the bent portion 20. Interference between the inner pipe 4 and the outer pipe 2 is hard to occur at the bent portion 20 and generation of abnormal noises is reduced.

CONSTITUTION:The main intake passage 28 of siamese type and a subordinate intake passage 30 are provided, and a fuel injector 36 is provided on the main intake passage 28. An assist air pipeline 42 supplying assist air for promoting the atomization of fuel is provided near the injection port 36a of the injector 36. The fuel is atomized by the assist air introduced from the assist air pipeline 42 into an adapter 56 via an assist air intake port 56a. Thereby the particle size of the fuel injected from the injector 36 is minimized, and thus the supply of the fuel to each cylinder becomes smooth.

      CONSTITUTION: An end of a subsuction pipe 6, which has a throttle valve 8 and a two way valve 9, is opened to the suction pipe 3 at the upstream of throttle valve 4. The other end of the subsuction pipe 6 is opened to the vicinity of fuel injector 10, which is installed to the downstream of the throttle valve 4, and atmoize the injected fuel. Further, an exhaust throttle valve 13 made of bimetal is installed in the exhaust pipe 12, and a subexhaust pipe 14 which connects the portions of exhaust gas pipe 12 at upstream and downstream side of throttle valve 13. Further, the subexhaust pipe 14 is surrounding the outer circumference of the subsuction pipe, to flow exhaust gas into the subexhaust pipe 12 and heat the assist air when the temperature is lower than a certain degree.
