When no overvoltage abnormality is detected, a gate control part 140 drives the switching element 174 based on a pulse signal from a pulse generator 130. On the other hand, when a detection voltage of a voltage detection part 150 exceeds a warning voltage and an overvoltage abnormality is detected, the gate control part 140 controls the switching element 174 so that a drain voltage of the switching element 174 becomes higher than a voltage of a power controller 10 and lower than the warning voltage.

The choke coil 210 has a magnetic circuit that can be made and broken. When the magnetic circuit of the choke coil 210 is broken, switches 214, 270 are turned on and off, respectively. The gate drive device 230 changes the switching frequency of the switching element 220 according as the magnetic circuit is made or broken.

The first resonance coil and the second resonance coil are arranged oppositely to each other. The second resonance coil executes at least either one of power transmission and power reception by electromagnetic resonance in a non-contact manner. The current sensors 190 and 250 are installed at such position as the amplitude of a voltage occurring at the resonance coils 110 and 240 becomes minimum. The ECU 180 and 260 determine abnormality of the resonance coils 110 and 240 based on the signal detected by the current sensors 190 and 250.
